I Got Nearly got struck by Lightning this morning

This morning i was on my way to the Bus Stop on my way to work when I was nearly struck by Lightning. The Lightning Bolt hit a Resturant sign accross the street from where I was Walking, Arced over A passing Semi Truck and came within 100-150 feet of hitting me I was shaking soo hard I ran to the Nearest Speedway Station untill my bus came. But that was not the first time I nearly had a brush with death from a Lightning strike. In 1988 I was nearly struck by lightning on the way home from work. The bolt came withing 10 feet from hitting me I thank God that i did not get hit.​

I'm glad you are safe and you didn't get hurt!

I know what you are saying. Living here in Indianapolis I've seen some of the same storm systems as you. The storms this Spring have been more violant than I've ever seen or remember. The lightening has been "over the top" extreme and frequent. I've seen so much lightening from the sky hit or come close to the ground, very dangerous.

Holy cow! I'm glad you are ok! Are you a tall person? As silly/scary as it sounds, I have heard that tall people are more likely to be struck by lightning ... the highest point and all-that.

Last night's storms were ridiculous with the lightning!! I thought for sure that the lightning was going to get me through my bedroom window!! I'm thinking about moving our bed to the opposite wall because of the close proximity of the windows to the bed now! It was completely freaking me out!!

Glad that you are ok. A few days ago a woman was struck standing on her porch watching a storm. She was coherent and called her DH. She was checked out by the EMT's.

I'm in Indiana and also have been enduring those storms.... pain in the butt those storms... way too loud, makes it hard for me to sleep! Plus I am fearful of bad storms

Glad you're okay. A dear friend of our daughter was struck by lighting at her college campus several years ago and it was a very frightening experience. She still has lingering affects from it.

Thanks Brandi, we are fine. Unfortunately, someone we know on the street next to us lost their home due to a lightening strike. Very sad.
