After searching and trying to get Lion King tickets in Chicago last night, I had NO luck! Everything was either sold out, or I got the very back of the balcony for $18. So I tried again today, and lo and behold, I got Orchestra seating, right on the main floor for $62 each! Yay!:D

I'm so excited, it's going to be a "date night" for me and DH. Just a half day for ourselves in the city. He has 2 weeks leave to spend with me and DD, but we thought part of a day to ourselves would be nice:)

Anyone else seen it or seeing it soon?

Oooh I'm so jealous! What a great idea for a date afternoon, have a WONDERFUL time!

We saw it a couple of weeks ago and loved it. The theatre is beautiful and the show is fantastic! Enjoy!

I have our tickets also - but Boston isn't showing it until July of 2004!!!! Oh well! At least I have the tickets!

Have a wonderful time on your date!

You're going to love it. I've seen it three times in New York. It's an amazing show. The costumes, the staging, the choreography, everythign about it is unbelieveable. I think theatre is incredbly over priced, but this show is worth every penny. I'm planning on taking my nieces and nephews to see it when it's in Boston next year.

I took DD last year to Tampa to see it and it was great! Have a wonderful time.

Yes, my DD15 and I are going to see it in Toronto in 2 weeks!

:)

We saw it in Dallas earlier this year. It is absolutely wonderful! :)

That's great, Jen!!!!!! Happy for you both. I saw it a few years ago in New York, it is wonderful. I have tickets for September, our anniversary. I am giving them to Marie on her birthday in a few weeks. :) Third row, floor. :teeth:

Enjoy!!!!!!

Everyone is making me MORE excited to see it:p I have heard just the best things about the show. Actually, though DH's credit card paid for the show ;) BUT he doesn't know we're seeing the Lion King. He'd probably say "The Lion King? Isn't that for kids?" so I'm more or less surprising him, and I know he'll end up being amazed.

Wow, Dan! 3rd Row? That's great:D I hope Marie hasn't looked at the boards lately, you may have blown your cover;) Have a great time!

I've been dying to see this since it opened, and missed it in Tampa last year. I see that it's in London when I will likely be there. I know they have 1/2-price ticket booths there for last-minute seats, so I might try that. I'm just wondering if I should see more sights and wait for TLK to come around here again, since I only have 2 days there. But, I did want to catch either a concert or play while I was there.
