I got my Disney CL CM shirt from ebay today...(very bizarre)

I'm guessing this particular design never actually made it to being used by cast members on the ships. Does anyone know? Great shirt, though -- I would love to have one even without the backstory!

Maybe, like I said, I bought it from joesauctions on ebay. He gets some strange Disney stuff, usually in large quantities..(Except the monorail car, he only had one of those... ) The shirt was in a dutch auction of 10 shirts. Only 9 people bid, so my LOW bid of $5.95 brought the entire auction price for each down to that amount.....

No thanks necessary from the other auction bidders....

He may have a couple left, check it out, or email him...(Note, I thought they were a men's size medium, but I don't think that is the case.. I don't think this will fit DH as originally intended, so I guess it's mine now!! -"Joe" did not answer my email inquiring about the size..)

I won one of those shirts. It hasn't arrived yet. Perhaps it will show up in today's mail. My son loves that style of shirt and I bought it for him. The sinking ship will make it just that much more of a treasure to him.

OMG, that's great!! You know I was only kidding about the "thanks" , didn't think anyone else here was bidding. LOL..You're welcome about the heads up on the auction, and lucky for us. I haven't seen anything interesting on his site since then. I know your DS will love it.

I am still puzzled about Disney allowing the sinking ship to appear on , of all CM's shirts, the Cruise Line!!

LOL, John! I can just picture your son in this! And making sure EVERYONE saw the sinking ship! LOL!

Want to know what *I* think it looks like?? If you look closely, you will see some white and black ships that are ALL just fine sailing along, and they look like the Disney ships. Its the ALL-WHITE ships that are sinking, and those look like all the other cruise lines' ships!!! LOL It just looks this way to me from the first picture, but not having it in front of me, I cant tell for sure. LOL

I had the same thought at one point, too, SeaSpray. I am familiar with the "look" of the Black and White Disney CL ship, (I haven't had the privilege to go on one yet!), but I didn't know if both (are there 2 ships?) ships looked like that. It would be funny if Disney were inferring that if you rode on another ship, you may just sink!!

LOL Yes! Both Disney ships looks practically identical on the outside (except for a few very minor differences). It definitely appears that the Disney ships are floating along just fine, but the "other" ships are all sinking. Someone at Disney definitely has a sense of humor.
