I got my December reservations!

Just got off the phone & I got a 1 bedroom at Animal Kingdom Villas in December. I had to get a value room, but according to my map there should be no parking lot views for the rooms that are available in December (cross fingers)

They have changed the construction schedule for AKV. Originally the Value villas (which are along both sides of the short hallways along the front of the resort) were scheduled to open in May '08. They will now open in Dec '07, which is how you managed to reserve one for your dates. What is not clear is exactly how many parking lot view villas there will be. Some of the construction drawings show only a small number of parking lot view rooms included as part of the AKV conversion. However even if all of the parking lot view rooms on the 5th floor are included, there will be just as many pool and savanna view Value villas, so you would have no greater than a 33% chance of getting a parking lot view.

Congratulations! When are you going? We're toying with the idea of checking out our new "home" (just sent the paperwork in yesterday for our add on) around 12/20 - 12/23. If DH knows there is a chance we could get a room, (if I hurry) he may say "yes".

I was trying to find the conversion drawings on the Orange County website. Are they up there? I could only find the July and September drawings. I got a dedicated value studio and I was trying to figure out my odds of parking lot vs. pool/savanna. Any special instructions on finding the new drawings.

We got 12/15/- 12/18 in a 1 bedroom value villa at AKV (waitlisted the standard for the 5th person) I wonder if the waitlist will come through

The most recent drawings were posted today! I was just looking at them in fact. When I saw there were new documents I hoped we might see some of the Value villas but they still have not declared any. The Units declared in these latest documents fill in the gaps that were left in the Zebra trail, so they are September units. They have still not declared any units outside of the Zebra trail.

I maintain a consolidated drawing containing all the Units. I will be posting an updated version once I add these new Units that were published today.

Ooh, if you got the 15th to 18th, we might have a chance to get the 20th to 23rd. We'd need a one bedroom too. (tho' we'd deal with a studio if that's all they had). I talked to DH tonight, and he said O.K., so tomorrow after work, I'm calling MS!!! Fingers, toes, eyes, crossed!!!
