Yippee!! Hooray!! I got my Sizzix machine today! My parents are in town and my wonderful Mom bought me one- she used a 40% off coupon, so it was $54. I bought two dies (they were out of a LOT of them, so there wasn't much variety)- I got Leaf #1 and the jungle leaves. And I already bought the primitive stars. So exciting! Anyway, just had to share with people who understand!

You're going to have so much fun with it. Besides your 40% off coupons, keep an eye on the sizzix website. They have monthly sales where they put specific dies on sale for the month. They also have Tuesday Teasers, stuff they put on sale for the day only - although I don't remember seeing dies in the Tuesday Teasers. And sometimes you can find good deals on dies on ebay.

Yeah for you! I love my Sizzix and now have over 75 dies plus 2 alphabets. I use mine so much. Emily uses it for school stuff, we use it for Bible School and I get more ideas daily for fun stuff with it. Congrats!

Wow----75 dies and 2 of the alphabet sets! Cool! I bought large daisies on Saturday---would you believe I am caught up on my scrapbooks, so I've just kind of been playing with the dies and stuff. I can't wait to actually do a layout with it! I'm hoping to buy an alphabet set in June...it's so cool! I have a die cutter I can use at work (I work at an Elementary School), and it's an Ellison, but the letters for the bulletin boards are HUGE- Like at least 4 inches tall each, since they're made for bulletin boards. Not exactly something you can fit in a scrapbook. I did take a ton of cardstock to work a couple weeks ago and went to town with some of the shaped dies--- again, they're a bit large, but some of them would work on a layout. I'm hope-hope-hoping to land a new job in the next couple of weeks, so I figured I better make one last crack at the school's die-cutter.

I used my sizzix to make some Mother's Day cards for family members. My favorite was the card using the flowers die from the seasonal collection. I liked it so much I made 2 them.
