Well not really trouble :goodvibes. This is the 2nd time I've been with my big camera bag and stuff in tow and no one ever said anything. I've passed and stood next to several security guards watching me take pictures.

This mall has many great different and unique plants w/ fun textures/colors etc. It's an artsy mall. I've always just taken pics of the plants etc..lots of them! Today I was standing on the upper level and just shooting straight down the corridor..not pointing it at windows or anything.

Some security guards comes running up and tells me you have to get permission from the security office to take pics in the mall :confused3

He said something about protecting the stores and advertising. I'm sorry but that's just a load of BS. Nobody look at our cool window displays because someone might copy it! What's to stop me from looking at it and then leaving your store and actually 'remembering' what it looked like then sketching it out??? It's not like I'm in some backroom and it's not 'released' yet..it;s in your stinking display window!

Just a vent..sorry...move along :hippie:

that is pretty standard, most if not all malls have anti-photography policies, it has to do with store displays, copyright on brand logos, and privacy of shoppers

A lot of businesses have that policy to prevent you from catching them doing something wrong that they could get sued for.
