We just booked a package w/ free dinning and a one day park pass non hopper.
It was far better than the
AAA package we priced last week, with the discount on rooms. We even tried to figure out with using our AP room only discount ( just a guess from last years) which would be a better deal. Using the APS and paying oop for meals. I looked up our meal prices form last year also. We paid using our Disney Visa. Granted we ate at several TS restaurants...we did not order apptz. or desert. A typical meal cost us about $60.00 to $70.00. That did not include alcohol. There was also the cost of breakfast and lunch...typically around $12.00 to $20.00 each.
So, we spend a lot on food last year...even if it was just the 2 of us. That was for just the minimums, not extras (apptz. or desserts). We just could not pass this deal up. The out of pocket expenses add up anyway...now we don't have to worry about our meals. I do plan on getting the DDE card and using it for our drinks and any extras.
For 7 nights at POFQ and a king bed, one day non hopper pass and
free dining...it was just over $1,300. Unless they offer the AP holders free dinning...it is the way to go.
I think the way to go on this deal is to stay at a Value or Mod, the rack rate is more but not that much more. The Deluxes are way cheaper if you use the AAA or AP discount. It would have been cheaper to use the AAA package discount. Still alot of money right now. This way, we can go cheap and not worry about paying off this huge bill when we come back.
