I can't believe it. I was completey in shock. We have been together for 7 years. I had NO idea it was coming. We have talked about it on few occassions and I always knew he would never do it around a holiday.....well he got me.
He took me to my favorite restaurant and after we were finished eating I must have turned my head and when I looked back at him he had the ring on the table, got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes after asking him a million times " are you serious?"....b/c I was in shock. The funny thing was the waiter came over to give us our check in the middle of it and my BF said "can you leave leave for a minute.?"...the guy looked down and said oh I'm sorry. It was so funny. The waiter came back with champaign and said dinner was on him. That was sooooo nice of him. I think he felt bad for coming to our table at the wrong time

I called my family and told them and by the time we got home from dinner everyone was at the house with more champaign and my family was so excited. The other funny thing was my BF did the traditional thing and asked my Dad when I wasn't around if he could marry his daughter. Well after they had their discussion, my BF turns around, puts his hand on my Dad's shoulder and says (jokingly) "well can I borrow some money? ". It was hilarious when I heard that...you have to know my BF he comes out with the funniest things sometimes.
So it will be a wonderful Christmas for me and I just wanted to share with everyone.
