I just got back from my trip to disney with my now fiance' on sunday. On Nov.26th (my birthday too!) he proposed on the beach at the poly with the help of Jane from GOAL. He did the treasure hunt on the beach. I have to say it was perfect. I had no idea what he was planning so earlier in the day we were in MK and he just decides its time to go, and its only like 3pm at this point. I didn't argue because I figured he was trying to do somethiong nice for my birthday. So we leave and hop on the monorail and at every stop I asked him, are we getting off here? Finally we get off at the Poly and he says since it's your birthday we're here to have your first drink (it was my 21st). We each had a drink at the bar and then he says he has to go to the bathroom. About 15 mionutes later the bartender comes up to me and says "get dumped?" lol. I said Kevin was just in the bathroom and maybe he got lost. Ofcorse the bartender points out the bathroom is DIRECTLY behind me and of corse at the exact moment here comes Kevin from the other side of the hotel. The bartender said maybe he was making dinner res. (He actualy was off meeting Jane in the gift shop) For the next hour or so we just walked around the resort (we were there too early so we had to kill time). kevin finally asked me if I wanted to take a walk on the beach and when I said no he made a paniced face at me, so I agreed as long as we could walk close to the sidewalk so my shoes wouldn't fill with sand.

Well 5 minutes and shoes overflowing with sand he starts telling me he found a message in a bottle by the waters edge. In it was a treasure map telling me to go find my treasure. After what felt like forever we finally find our mark in the sand and burried underneath was a treasure chest with the open ring box in it.

Needless to say it was the perfect birhtday present ever. Later that night we went to the Cali. Grill for dinner and stopped in the MK to take some pics in front of the castle. The perfect end to a perfect day.

:goodvibes Thank you soo much everyone for the well wishings. Its great being at home now and being able to show off my ring :teeth:

We got the glass slipper made at Arribas Bros. in the MK. I had seen one like it before we left for the trip so I when he proposed I knew I had to get one. We went into the shop expecting to have to pay $95 for the full size one but when we got there they had the one I got, which is only like 5-6 inches or so. I loved the small one so much more because I actualy have a place to put it at home. That one cost $22 plus $1 for each word engraved.

Heres a link to the Arribas bros. website. I'm not 100% sure if i can post it so if it doesn't work just google "arribas bros" and then on their website its under >Disney Collection > Slippers and they have a few there
Arribas Bros

Thanks again everyone! I'm already starting to plan away even though we won't be getting hitched until Nov. 2008, and sadly no Disney wedding for me. I can't be too sad though, a dis proposal and most likely a honeymoon should be enought

Thanks so much for posting where you got it made! I will definitely be checking it out!

Good luck on your planning! We haven't decided whether we're doing a Disney wedding or not but I definitely agree with you, a Disney proposal and honeymoon is good enough for me! :lovestruc
