I got contacts today!

I gotta thank you all for your tips, because they really helped. I got contacts today and I absolutely love them. They feel a little weird for the first 5/10 minutes, but after that I can't even feel them. They're the Acuvue Advanced with Hydraclear.

I had a bit of trouble getting them to stick on to my eye and not my finger. I had no issue touching my eye at all, although my eyes are still a bit sore from pulling and yanking on the lids. Getting them out was the easiest part for me. Everyone says it's hard and kinda freaky "pinching" it out, but I thought it was easy.

i've worn glasses since the 7th grade, and i don't really mind them, so i don't think i'll ever switch to contacts.

Yay. I got contacts freshman year and I had so much trouble putting them in the first day. I think because I was putting them in inside out. It's annoying when you do that.

But now I wear my contacts all the time. I only wear my glasses at night or in the morning. I love not having this thing on my face all day long. And being able to see everything and not just what's in the frame, I love that.

I hope you love your contacts too. They're the best invention.

I've had glasses since 7th grade, and they don't bother me too much. I don't think I'll ever get contacts though; I'd never be able to put them in by myself.

Congrats! I got my glasses this past april/may. I don't mind them. I actually kind of like them-well they help me see which is always a plus! (hahaha) I wouldn't swich I think it would be weird. Maybe in a few years I will. Are nearsighted or farsighted? I can never tell the difference so are you distance or reading. I prob don't know which is which cuz I have both. I have the double lense- called bifocals I think

I'm nearsighted. I started wearing glasses in the 4th grade (my first pair had spongebob and they were glow in the dark) but I've always been self concious about them. I even went the whole 8th grade year without wearing them. /: I tried getting contacts for my 13th birthday but that was a bust. Plus, I have to wear my hearing aids. Mine go behind the ear so with that and then the glasses arm pushing on my ear, it hurt! Something had to give, and it's easier for me to get contacts than go without hearing anything.

Yesterday I wore them for 4 hours, today I can wear them for 4 hours 30 mins - 5 hours. I haven't put them in yet though because we might be going out later. I love them!
