I got bumped!

I was originally meant to be having my reception in the Asbury room in the Yacht Club. A convention has now rented out the entire convention centre for the whole week!!

My wedding planner has suggested the Marvin Gardens rooms at the Boardwalk, has anyone been there? Ive seen a few pics and it looks nice but i now wont be able to see it before i have to decide! Anyones opinions would be great!

On the up side though, i have now got a wedding planner well i have 2 actually lol Karen and Maxine.

Most of the Disney ballrooms are gorgeous, though! I am sure something will come available!

I really like Marvin Gardens, it's very on par with the rooms at YC - I'm never too keen on the carpets mind you but no-one really looks at them

Can they do that? Have you already signed your contract? That makes me nervous. I have never seen the Marvin Gardens room at BW- I am sure it will be just as nice as your original!

Yes they can do this, i was told that they could not guarantee the ballroom untill 8 months out (i was so close lol!!) which is when you sign your contract. And a convention takes priority. I dont really mind the Marvin Gardens looks pretty, may actually be nicer as it has windows which i like. I was just unsure as i never went to see it on my site visit. Thanks for the help guys!

Oh and Sam - i totally agree with you about the carpets! lol.

Aw im sorry laura I didnt know they could do that, it really sucks!

I know its not the same as a site visit but i found a 360 tour of the Marvin Gardens room & lobby, from the disney conventions site when i was researching Disneys ballrooms.

Its ok, i knew they could do it. I was disappointed at first but to be honest its not that far away and the boardwalk is a beautiful resort. I looked at the 360 tour and it looks fab! Thanks!

On the bright side i now get to have photos at 2 resorts now lol.

Check out ourfairytale.com. The site is wonderful for any person having a Disney wedding, but she had her wedding at the Boardwalk and hre pre-reception at Marvin Gardens, so their are plenty of pictures and even room layouts. That sucks about the bump, but the Boardwalk is very close.

We considered the Marvin Gardens as a ceremony and pre-reception area--it is very very pretty with a beautiful patio area. Of course--I'm partial to Atlantic Dance Hall
