I Got An Email

Wow I was shocked this afternoon when i got my email, i had booked Pop Century for first week of sept and now the room rate is 49.00 it is unbelievable, the airfair was 49.00 pp and now the room is 49.00 i think i should play that # dont you. I have been waiting and waiting to get a post card in the mail, i kept thinking maybe they sent me one and my neighbors or the postwoman took it, and then it came, i dont know how that happend but all i can say is thank you god. ........
I really only thought special people got them, but there is hope they come to anyone, because i am just anyone. LOL

We got this email, too! The REALLY weird thing is it came to my husband, not me. This is the man that "tolerates" Disney and goes once every 3-5 years. I go 3x a year and have an annual pass! Nothing with Disney is EVER in his name, it's always in mine. Yet he got the email!

I called and booked Pop Century for 3 nights in October, 15th - 17th. The 17th isn't included, per the email, but the CM said it didn't show that in the computer, so I got all 3 nights for $49 each. Woo Hoo!

We are DVC members and will be ending this trip at the Boardwalk. We've been on a waitlist forever for these 3 nights for the Boardwalk. So this is great!

The CM did tell me this wasn't in the computer, even with the pin number. But after she talked to a supervisor, I had no problems making the reservation. She did comment the email wasn't supposed to go out until Sunday.

Whenever I make a resv. they say my email says non deliverable. I checked and double checked w/ them and it appears to be correct. I even changed my setting on my email acct. to accept ALL mail. I am depressed thinking they are trying to send me discounts and can't. Is there an address I can put in my address book to ensure I will get mail from them???

I got the email and was able to book the Contemporary Tower room for $245 for October 29 and 30. Maybe we will try MNSSHP now. It is a nice birthday present. I requested a MK view.

What a great bday surprise!

I opened my email yesterday and there is was! The best bday present ever! A code and pin # in my email from Mickey!!!! I can't believe I finally got one! We are planning a trip in Oct/Nov. We are going to the MNSSHP this year for the first time. Does anyone know who has used this code how many rooms I can book under the code?

I'm sending some pixie dust to everyone who didn't get one!

I got the email, but this is the first "post card" I have ever gotten from WDW, even though we go frequently and I am on every Disney list you can imagine. There is no formula anyone can figure out when it comes to these things, so it can happen to you too!

We had two rooms booked at CBR in November, and were hoping for AP codes. My awesome Dreams Unlimited agent, Tricia, was able to apply my PIN from the email and save us around $900.

Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know they have the right email address. I made my ressie back in Dec and have made several payments on it by calling CRO. Each time, the CM would confirm my email address (and most would comment how much they liked it...........it's disney.dreamer! ).

Kind of a funny story to this. I just called CRO, trying to find out why some people get them, some don't and HOW I could get one. I mentioned to him that I was reading about this email postcards on a Disney based discussion board. He asked me, "Are you on the DIS?!" I was floored!! He said he had the site up right then even!! I said, "Oh! You guys DO read the boards!" He said "Of course we do. How do you think we know what you guys are up to!"

I'm not sure about the up-to-datedness of the Disney system. I received a postcard by mail for the discount people are speaking of and was able to use it for a mod. Anyway, the first call to a CRO, they had an outdated email address. I corrected it and went about my confirmation. The second time I called today a different CRO recited my wrong email address again. So keep checking to make sure email addresses are correct.

You know what? It's a real shame that people who won't use the discount email received it ... yet there are others out there who could use it and won't receive it.

Right after booking our vaca., we received a post card ... and couldn't use it b/c our AP's gave us a better rate than the post card. How bummed was I about that!?

When I was talking to a CM this morning (looking for an AP discount for my sister), I mentioned the email postcards to her. I asked if she knew if they intended to send more out or was it finished. According to the CM, they are still sending them. She told me to keep an eye on the email!

Here's hoping we ALL get one!! It's a shame they don't send out resort discounts as frequently as they send me things for disneystore.com or dealsatdisney! Either way, they get my money!!
