I got an E-bay Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Check!

DH got 78 cents. He threw it out and I made him take it out of the trash because I had to go to the bank anyways that day to deposit another check so we might as well get our 78 cents!

Just yesterday I received a settlement check (Foreign Currency Fee Litigation) for $18.00. If my check was that much how much did those lawyers make?

We got one of those but don't remember ever getting anything to begin with (informing us of the lawsuit).

I got that same check the day I got my Ebay check (for 9 cents). I tried to google it to see if it was a scam. $18seemed like a lot for a class action suit I never heard of.

I got both checks too. I was scared to cash them thinking if I cashed it I was authorizing something. They're safe to cash then? I just got an email about the Ticketmaster one too.

I don't know if it was worth the effort to even open the envelope. I may cash it though just because of the principal of the suit and why should the lawyers get my 2 cents.

Mine was for $.20! If you are going to cash your check, hurry because they are only good until 12/22/11. I like the part at the end where it says you should consult your tax professional regarding the impact it might have on your taxes.

My Foreign Currency check was almost $100. Of course, I lived in Europe for 2 full years so that helped get me to that amount.
