I spent 5 days at WDW a couple of weeks ago and I got nothing! I did see them pulling families from Main Street to participate in the Family Fun Parade. I also saw a few people wearing the Dreams FastPasses.

Anyone else get a figurative rock?? :lmao:

P.S. I'm not angry at all, just wanted to post that not everyone gets a "Dream" during their vacation :)

Happy Halloween Charlie Brown!:rotfl:

My husband and I were just talking about how we will probably not be one of the few who are chosen to receive a dream during the Year of a Million Dreams promotion. We actually were laughing and saying we will probably just get a rock.

Nope, me neithe. I went at the most insane time of year, Easter, so I knew my chances were pretty slim.
I did win by post card though. The Mickey Ears and Laynard with 2 pin.

We didn't win anything either! Saw lots of other people with dream fast passes though. Oh well. Maybe next time. :rotfl2:

We were at DL a couple of weeks ago and we got nothing. We also couldn't seem to get to the parks before noon so that may have reduced our chances. We're going to WDW in November and it would be so nice to get something. If not, no biggie. At least we'll be at Disney World!!!

LOL! We didn't win anything from the Dream Team either. Had a wonderful trip though.

Twice we missed getting the Dream Fast Passes at DAK, by mere minutes. THAT was somewhat disappointing at the time. Team was standing in the pathways on the trail in Africa, and later in Asia... and said "Hello' as we passed them but we didn't get anything. A little further up both pathways, we rounded a bend where we could see back down by the Dream Team, and in both cases they were then handing out Fast Passes to everyone who came by! My tween-age son was feeling a bit down when it happened for the second time on the same morning. But, we just sucked it up and went on with our day. Had fun regardless.

I do wish the Dream Teams could be slightly less 'visible' when waiting for a specific time slot to begin handing the stuff out, however. Not winning anything would not have bothered DS as much, had he not run right smack into them with their sacks full of goodies (and gotten all excited because he thought we were about to receive something), only to be passed by and then look back to witness them handing out lots of 'dreams' just a minute afterwards. Seems like it could have been handled a little better, maybe by not coming out into the actual pathway until it was time to start handing things out.

Again, we did have a wonderful trip regardless. Lots of nice experiences that were not related to the YOAMD at all. My DS's favorite character is Stitch, and we actually lucked out and got to draw Stitch at our lesson on the Animation Tour at MGM. He also got to help 'Mac' set up for the Pirate Tutorial, and received an Apprentice Pirate Certificate (although they only chose smaller children to participate in the sword fights). It was fun just being in WDW during such a pleasant & uncrowded time of year.

Oh to be so close...how dissappointing. We never even saw them so the kids didn't really think about it. As a mother you must have felt double dissappointment. Sad for you but even more so for your son. I didn't realize that they just stood out in the open waiting for a specific time. For some reason I thought they were at ride exits. It sounds kind of cheesy but could you have walked back by there or were they only giving them to people going in a certain direction?

Congrats on the extra special surprises on your trip. Lots of people get a fastpass (dream or otherwise) but how many get to be a pirate apprentice?? What is the pirate tutorial anyway? My son is 4 and is now into pirates.

We went last nov./dec and didnt get anything. We did get one fastpass each on a ride we were stuck on which was broken down, thats it. I posted that we saw a family who was family of the day at the mk eating on a golden tablecloth at cosmic rays, having their picture taken and my ds found a dream fastpass someone had dropped in the Polynesian Lobby. We will be at the world again this thursday and I am really not expecting anything as usual. If something nice happens then it will really be a dream come true. I told our family just go and make your own magic. Well we are saving $500 by staying at the Swan versus the Polynesian so that will have to be magical enough for now.

I feel your pain Matt'sMom ;)

We missed the dream team twice at AK as well over our spring break. First time we missed them, we were on the left queueing area for Primeval Whirl and the right side won Dream fast passes. Second time we missed them, was on EE, they were standing there with duffel bags waiting for the next train to come in. Don't know what we missed out on that time as we didn't stick around and headed over to Africa to have lunch at Tusker House. Oh yeah, not a dream team prize, but then at lunch at Tusker House a person at the table next to us was given a free cupcake as part of YOAMD.

We had an awesome time regardless and I can't wait to go back- whenever that may be :thumbsup2

I am curious about this too.Could you have returned to that area either by backtracking or hurrying out the trail exit and coming back through the entrance to that area?:)

DW and I have been many times prior to my becoming a CM. Never won anything. Now I can't win anything.

More for the rest of you.

I did find a Mickey Ice Cream bar in my freezer at OKW. :mickeybar That's never happened before so maybe that was part of YOAMD. It was good.

We were there for 10 days and got nothing!

The same thing happened to my teens. They were on Living with the Land and saw the Dream Team waiting as they got off, but didn't get anything. They stood there and watched as the next 5 or 6 boats got lanyards...disappointing, but it didn't ruin our trip. It just makes you say, "How come we're so unlucky?"
LOL

I didn't get anything but DS got a free bottle of water at one of the food carts.

We have been three different weeks since YOAMD started and haven't gotten anything. I have seen people with fastpasses and ears, but I haven't even seen anyone actually win anything. Oh well, we have one trip left during YOAMD, I am holding out hope that we will be the lucky winners of the DVC membership. :)

:flower3: We were one of the lucky ones who got the Fast Passes. We went two different weeks. The last day of our trip Thanksgiving week, we got "asked" to come into Innoventions (where the firetruck is) at Epcot and participate in the fire drill. They gave everyone in our group fast passes. We almost passed it up, as we wanted to get our fast passes for Soarin, but he CM told us "you really want to come in and check this out NOW". The second trip we got the proverbial rock. Didn't even see many Dream Squad members out and about. Maybe it was because it was over spring break.

We did not get anything either...some magical moments, but no dreams...However, I did not really expect to win. We did miss dream fast passes by one group (those behind us) on Dinosaur one morning...too bad....we were happy to just be there (especially after 4 year in-between visits!)

We too were at POR a couple of weeks ago....May 8-15th!! Sounds like we were there at the same time.

We saw several children receive magical moments while we were gone...one in particular that I remember was a little boy had to find and slay the Giant at Sir Mickey's in the Magic Kingdom...I was in the store shopping while it was going on...very cute!! We also seen a LOT of Dream Team members walking around...a few even asked if they could help us find something or if we were having a "magical time" during our stay...very friendly! We saw dream fast passes at every park every day...never received any ourselves though...Never did see any ears, lanyards or the castle stay recipents. Overall, I was shocked at the amount of Dream team members walking around...from reading these boards I thought they were very rarely seen :confused3

This made me bellow with laughter. :rotfl: Haven't thought about poor 'ol
Charlie Brown trick or treating in ages. ;)
