I got a "Pool" letter from POR, but I'm not staying there!!

I'm confused!
I got a letter today from POR appologizes for the upcoming inconvience of the pool in Refurb...
One problem... I'm not staying there! I'm staying at CBR... I checked my confirmation sheet, and CBR! Why is POR sending me stuff? Did anyone else get this??

Were you booked at the POR before you booked the CBR? I was originally supposed to go with five people, and we were going to stay at the Poly and then switched to the Contemporary, but now there aren't as many people, so we decided to stay at the ASMo. Well, I got my confirmation for the ASMo and trip planning info for the Poly. So I got info on the Poly, even though we booked a different resort for different dates.

I got the same thing about 3 weeks ago! Boy was I confused, comfirm letter stated CBR but the pool closing letter was POR. I called and the CM laughed, then apologized. We confirmed the CBR again and I also requested another confirmation letter. It was always CBR, never POR.

Sure wish they'd get their act together. We are staying at POR and my confirmation had no mention of the pool rehab. It was not mentioned when I made reservations either. I knew about it from the boards, of course, but would have appreciated it mentioned to me.

These notes you got, did they give any details.....dates or alternate arrangements?

Yes,

They had details on what other pools are available (ie: POFQ), and all the quiet pools. and it gave the Date of Jan 6th I think that the pools would close to improve them. The letter was pretty, but I am not staying there, or never had any intention of staying there... And it came seperately, all by itself... WEIRD!

Did the letter say when they expect to finish the rehab? Wow, those of us actually staying at POR get nothing!

Planogirl, the projected completion date is Feb. 8th.

I got one too ! I was always staying at CBR (well in my head, I had considered POR and CSR but only booked CBR). I called CRO just to double-check that I hadn't made a ressie that I couldn't remember (LOL). Looks like maybe everyone at CBR got the letter ... hmmmm I wonder if the guests at POR actually got their letter. I'm especially happy now that I have CBR since I have learned about the main pool closings at POR and CSR that are both during our stay.
