A little background. I have a BA in psychology. When I got married in 2004 I was working for a mental health agency which evaluated clients who were suicidal/homicidal/psychotic for inpatient care. I loved it but it was very stressful and emotionally taxing at times. You can imagine.

I took the week after our honeymoon off (still had a lot of stuff to move). I got a call from my boss saying that sue to budget cuts my position was going to be eliminated. So anyway, I have been looking for a job in my field ever since. My husband has a great job so I don't necessarily have to work, but wanted to anyway.

Well I got a job offer clear out of the blue on Tuesday. And of all places, it was at the health center I work out at!!! I've been there since last may. Let me clarify. It's not exactly a gym. It's strictly personal training and nutition. Well anyway, I got a call from the owner (who is usually there when I work out) and he offered me a job there. Long story short, I would be something of a client liason. The person who makes sure the clients are happy, being trained well, and taking any complaints/comments they have and reporting back to the owner.

I am so excited. Not to mention I make my own hours, I can come in and go when I want. How cool is that? Now here's the kicker. When looking for a job, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to take a huge cut in pay. Working at this place, basically, I will be making $1 less than what I was making at my other job. I was salaried there, but I figured out how much per hour I was making.

I am on cloud nine!!! I have missed working so very much and absolutely cannot wait until I start next week!!!

Woo hoo for me!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

That sounds great Lindsay, what a dream! Congratulations!

Congtratulation's! :thumbsup2 Your job sounds like it could be alot of fun! Best Wishes! :goodvibes

Good for you! Enjoy the new job!

That sounds great! Congrats to you! Good things happen to good people.

Good deal.....making your own hours and pay that is almost meeting what you were making before. Do you also get free gym membership now? That could make up the 1.00 an hour difference :)

Oh awesome. Congrats. Sounds like a pretty cool job to me. And only a 1$ less an hour? Not bad. Hope you like your new job.
