Just for general info, through my hours of trying to find a deal on a place to stay, I found a great one. Representitive said it wasn't a timeshare tours type of deal. I'll know when I go in March. Anyway I got a 3 bedroom, 3 bath townhouse in a resort with all the ammenities including a washer and dryer through www.discounthotels.cc. (notice it is .cc not .com) It is a few cents less then $65 a night. Go to the website, click on Orlando (all areas) and then scroll down to Island club west. If anyone knows why this may be a bad deal, please let me know before I go. March 8-13. I have seen this same resort on other sites for $120 or more per night. Thanks

If you manage to find it let me know!! LOL. We TRIED to stay there through a deal I had found on hotel kingdom last Feb. Arrived very late at night, called for directions, followed directions, drove and drove and drove and drove....never found it! One word of warning--when we called a second time for directions, they had no record of our reservation. We gave up and stayed at Vistana--not cheap but they did honor the Hotel kingdom price for us when I told them my situation which I thought was very kind, and we love it there anyway.

Looks like a very nice resort, but Iwould call to verify the reservation just to be safe. Also try posting on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board. Someone must have stayed there!

I called as you suggested and confirmed my reservations. They had all the info there so now I feel a litlle better. Thanks for your help. I hope to find some positive feedback before I go though. Thanks again

If you look at any of the ads listed here. They are timeshare promos. It states on the very bottom of the page what the restrictions are.

I agree, those are timeshare ads except for the one I was telling you about, Island club west has NOTHING that I could find about a timeshare tour being needed. When I made my reservations I specifically asked if I would have/need to take a tour. The answer was no, that all I needed to do was show up and enjoy the week and I shouldn't hear anything from the resort staff unless I needed something. Like I said, I hope you are wrong, I will know next month.

Hey, I just called discounthotels.cc again and asked them about the timeshare tours for Island Club West. They said again that this property is having a grand opening through 4/10/03 and there are no strings attatched and no tours given. This is a special price that I for one have taken advantage of. If interested call discount hotels @ 1.800.479.1406 and check for yourself. You may think I am trying to sell this myself but I live in Middle Tn and am just trying to pass along what I hope is a good deal. Good Luck

Did my post get deleted from this thread for a REASON???

Is this board delete happy (without a word to the person they deleted their post) or what?
*sigh*

What'd I say wrong???
