I got a camper for my birthday!!

Happy Birthday Ali and congratulations on the camper. Wish I could talk DH into a new one. He likes his tents better.

Update,
We got it yesterday and driving home was a breeze! Alan backed it it straight the first time (probably the last time that will happen LOL) I spent all this morning cleaning it because it had all that "new construction" dirt everywhere. I even made a few changes let's see who sees what it it first!

I drove in in Alan's car and asked if they had anything I could tow with that. I guess they did not appriciate my humor. Sorry if these are huge it is the first time I have used photobucket!

Congratulations, it looks Awesome.
I saw one thing you did but, I will leave it for the others to see.

Good luck with the camper, when you come up around this area (Brandon, Tampa) maybe we can meet. Where did you get the knobs I LOVE THEM.

Very nice, like the interior! Saw the handles - are they available at MouseGear in Epcot?

Also - what is the tow vehicle? Are you using the Benz? I'm assuming it could do it, but was not sure.

Ooooo,,Oooooo,,Pick Me !!:yay: I Know ! I Know !

You added Mickey/Minnie Mouse napkins next to the Stove in the corner ?

You do realize that you are spose to pack fish'n poles in that purty new camper,,right ?

No, I am not pulling with the benz that was a joke. When we would look at campers but didn't want to be bothered with a salesman we would go in the benz. Everytime we did that nobody would approach us. Interestinging enough in Germany guess people do tow with them. I called just to see because we have a V8. They said in the US they don't get many requests for towing.
The knobs I bought at the Disney outlet here in Fort Myers about 8 months ago. I had no idea what I would use them for. I went to open up a cabinet and had to tighten the screw on the factory knob and the lightbulb when off!
Modification #2 came last night. We went and bought a flat panel TV and the swing arm mounting bracket. We got it up hooked it up to the surround sound and watched a football game.
Thank you for the suggestion for the campground in Tenn. I think that will work great. With The Fort as my bar it will be tough to go to some of the campgrounds. We are going to the Pine Island KOA for our trial run. It is close by so we can spend more time learning how to use everything. I have heard that it is very unlevel. Most of the places I called here don't do weekend only in the winter.

I agree that the Benz would probably do pretty well, considering the ability of the car. I remember seeing photos of 1960's era advertisements with people towing good size Airstream trailers with Thunderbird convertibles and station wagons. Heck, some of the early 1980 and 1990 trucks would have less than half the horsepower of that Mercedes V8.

Anyhoo - good luck on the first trip and here's hoping that there are many more.

I remember before Isuzu NPR made such a big debut in the US Mercedes had a lot of cube trucks on the road. They were real workhorses but as with the cars were too expensive to have mechanical work done on them so out they went.

DD thinks that the camper is her clubhouse. Imagine when you were a kid having a clubhouse complete with a kitchen and outhouse! I got a "Camper warming" gift from my parentals last night for camping world. Aside from special TP what to get? Ohhh this is going to be fun! Alan already said "Try to keep the credit card under control this month OK?" I got ressies for the Fort for 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas!:yay: Hope to meet a bunch of you all there!

yea, I think Al was using me to get to 8000 posts :P

Congrats on the ressies, you guy are going to have a blast!

Don't make yourself a stranger hear? You got all the dates that we do as well. I don't book Christmas though. I might if I was just going to stay at the fort only but there's no way I'm going to the parks in that madness.

I don't think that we will go into the parks at Christmas, but I like the idea of being at the Fort and away from it all. We are lucky to live somewhat close to WDW that we can do that. I am not even sure if I am going to get AP this year. We can get Universal or Sea World for way less and still have loads of fun. Heck, at Dollywood we can get AP for a little over $100each! DD has never been there and wants to see "Hannah (Montana) Aunt. Besides, we have to get our sea legs with the camper. What would that be called in camping terms?
