I just wanted to make a small post about the Horrible experiences I have had in the last two years. I will not get into details,But I hope everyone things twice before purchasing this. My Guide will NOT return my calls. I feel as if they sold me a product and just dumped me off on the roadside. The phone support at DVC florida is HORRIBLE. I had a women tell me 15 different stories in a 45 min conversation. If you want details and are not ashamed of reading the truth email me and ill send the full meat and potatoes. I just dont feel people should have to deal with the issues we have had.

:confused3

If you feel that strongly you should write a letter to DVC corporate with all the details. That's what we have done in the past when we were unhappy about things. Both times we got a call back and spent close to an hour each time talking to someone. While I didn't see some of the changes I was hoping for from our feedback at least I know that I addressed it to the powers that be.

I already made SEVERAL calls and requests. I just got a phone call from a very very impersonal women. We appologize, But theres nothing we can do. It all changed about 2.5 years ago. We were so happy and now its all just gone down hill. I wrote a letter last time and NEVER got a single response.

It's a business and in the last few years they have really focused on selling new contracts and making a profit. Taking care of existing owners isn't a priority, it's a contracted obligation.

I am so sorry to hear that you are unhappy. I have been a member for over 5 years and own at 5 DVC's Made 20+ trips to DVC resorts and called about 100 times.

In all that time, I have never once had a bad phone experience, hotel experience or people experience. The only complaint I may have is about losing vallett service and I know that was just a perk. I work in quality and am very observant and even amazed at the processes that Disney has in place. But knowing how quality works, it is about expectations. People's expectations are extreamly high for DVC and Disney. So it is sometimes difficult to hit that level.

You have not told us your stories. I think we would all like to understrand. Lets hear the meat and potatoes. I am just amazed at how we can be so please with so many interactions and you can can be so displease with so many interactions. I suspect expectations set by a DVC sales guide.

You opened the subject, why can you not then just post your experience as well?
Ove the years this board has provided me with great advice and information that could possibly help you too!

I have been a DVC Member since 2007 and enjoy the benefits but have experienced issues with maintenance and housekeeping many times. I sent you a PM so you can tell me your story. :rolleyes1

I agree with the bolded.

I am typing. A nice long reply. I'm on duty and don't want to have to stop in the middle of my rant. I'm also trying to keep emotion out of it and stick to the ordeal!! Look for it later today or early tomorrow.

I totally agree. What is the point of posting this topic if you aren't going to give particulars? The particulars might actually help someone else.

I just noticed that you booked a cruise. Does this have something to do with the announcement last year that no cruises could be re-booked or changed?

People's expectations are extreamly high for DVC and Disney. So it is sometimes difficult to hit that level.

Disney was built on exceeding Guest expectations and they openly brag about their ability to do so. They even sell their philosophy to other companies. It's no wonder that we expect the best.

The poor economy has changed the way that many do business but Disney seems to be posting a profit while continuing to cut back on service and other things Disney.

The DVC seems to focus on making sales and not much on keeping members happy. We have room issues way to often and the Cast seems to accept the issues as being normal.

Almost every trip we are given a free meal or a $100 credit to our room bill to make up for some issue. When offered a $100 credit last month we refused to accept it. The Manager asked what he could do to make things right. I told him that it would be nice if the problems were taken care of before the Guest is given the room. He replied "wouldn't that be nice, but we aren't given the opportunity to service the rooms they way that we would like to". Based on that statement, Disney knows that they are putting Guests in rooms that should be taken out of inventory. :sad1:

I'm going to give 100% of the story. It's a long story.

Why give any details if your not going to give a full 100% report? **Edit** Sorry I misread your post I lile many others will be waiting for the full details.

Another thing I noticed is you said that the DVC issues are over the last 2 1/2 years, yet out of the 140 some postings only 6 are DVC related, and they are somewhat recent, 2 were on the budget board, while the rest are on the cruise boards and even ther you were warning people about the cruise line being rude. **Edit** It seems all your DVC related posts are dated today.

Don't get me wrong, DVC in the last few couple of years has regressed in performance and reliability, but most issues can be resolved without all the dramatics or anger.

I would like to hear the meat and potatoes too. Like others have mentioned, you opened up the subject - you should just post it here.

We have been members since Jan 2006. Made many, many trips since we've added on twice and are somewhat local. We've been put at the end of the hallways at BWV more times than I can count, had a piece of trash left behind, food in the fridge once, checked in after 4pm - even seen tiles missing off the roof of other DVC resorts (inside joke if you've been around a while) and we've never complained one time. I am not a person who believes DVC and Disney is perfect. Luckily, its just never been bad enough to warrant a complaint.

I am sure your issue is warranted, I just want to hear it to see if I agree. :goodvibes

I believe the "when and where was this info given?" question was about "the announcement last year that no cruises could be re-booked or changed".

I too would love to hear the whole story, which it sounds like he will be given, just not in dribs and drabs. He said he'd give 100%, and that he was writing during his shift.
