I get to meet Paula Deen!

I just won a contest for a VIP meet and greet at a food show here in Cleveland and I get to sit in the front row of a Paula Deen cooking demo and meet her afterward! I sent in a recipe and I will find out next week if I get to cook with her! I am already nervous! I never win anything. WOW!

We ate at her restaurant in Savannah, now that was a treat... I was stuffed and could barely walk back to our hotel, we Northerners just love that Southern cooking, we still talk about the hoe cakes.. and her banana pudding cake never mind the fried chicken....Yummmmmy... pass the butter Paula..

I love Paula Deen. I've tried some of her recipes and they are always a big hit. I saw a little of the Paula's Party Halloween show and she was dressed up as a stick of butter - too funny!

I would be too. This is a woman who has fried so many things, I am surprised she has not thought about frying a guest or two. Last summer I caught one of her shows on tv during a visit to America. When she floured and deep fried a chunk of lasagna, I realized she had problems. Hope you enjoy your visit.
