They really have gone off the deep end these past several years. If they refuse to see it, the election's in the bag next time around, too.

I do find it interesting that those on the left cringe at being called liberals. Frankly, I'm proud to be called conservative.

I'm proud to be a liberal. What makes me cringe is when people, like the president and others on this board, make it sound as though being a liberal is a bad thing.

Isn't this a Bush supporters' thread? The title does seem to indicate as much.

No Kendra the title does not indicate that this is a Bush supporters thread. In fact I opened it because I thought it was giong to possibly be a thread about not insulting the President - which I don't. However no - it turned out to be a cheap thread, with a cheap graphic going on and on about the majority vote. WE KNOW! There is no need to rehash this issue again and again and again - every single dang day. If Charlie wanted to post his graphic and do the self-congratulatory victory dance then why not post it in the Bush Supporters thread? No - we start a cheap thread so that the Republicans can pat their backs and stick the Democrats face in it.

Another thing - why get upset about insults being thrown at the President. I roll my eyes whenever anyone refers to Bill Clinton as "Slick Willy" and I believe Senator Kerry was and is still being called everything from a flip-flopper, to a liar, and disgracing his military record. Bush is getting off light in my opinion.

I know how you feel - I feel the same way when I see pointless cheap threads like this one. Your side won so now all the school bullies come out because they know they are on the winning side and they post like this. The OP even said that he did not debate before the election - interesting that he comes out now to puff out his chest and flex his muscles.

I also feel like I'm dealing with high-schoolers when people post cute little graphics and make no other statements to back up the reason for the graphic. How childish and again another example of a cheap post with no filling and just mindless rhetoric.

Gee, you sound very very upset. I'm sorry for you! I interpreted the thread to be pretty much addressed to those that support Bush. But, you are correct in stating that it didn't SPECIFICALLY spell that out. I keep forgetting you LIBERAL ELITES need more nuance.

Now, go have a drink. . . we'll both feel much better!

"liberal elite". If that is a code word, what would you call "right wing conservative". "Christian right"?

Well, I call 'em knuckleheads but just here among us pals.:teeth:

I rest my case regarding the "high school" comment.

Now you know how conservatives feel.

So, if Kerry had won you guys would have been civil like you were the past four years?

dmadman, do you want civil or civil war? The right can have it either way at present. Depends on how Bush and his buds call the shots.

Do you rubber-neck at car wrecks, too? If you didn't want to read the thread, don't open it. Move on. (.org)

Dude, the 60's are over.

Good thing we still have the 2nd Amendment, huh?

I'm in a crabby mood today so I guess yeah things are getting a little bit more under the collar then usual.

I'll just take that drink - :drinking1 mmm....tequilla.

Anyway - I don't need anything spelled out for me but the thread title was fairly vague. And since I don't see why we need 5 or 6 "Support Bush" threads - I wonder why we have cheap ones like this popping up.

So, if Kerry had won you guys would have been civil like you were the past four years?

1) I don't think I've ever gotten overly nasty with anyone. I supported my candidate and I gave my reasons for not supporting yours. So lumping me with other individuals you may or may not be talking about really isn't fair to me. The last I checked I am an individual and have no problem stating my own thoughts with out the assistance of "Group Think." You may want to learn from that.

2) If my candidate would have won I can tell you that I would have taken a page out of Disney Enthusiast book and given the Bush Supporters time to get over their loss. I would not have been constantly starting new threads insulting supporters of the Republican party, bashing Mrs. Bush, and telling all of you to get over it.

Gee Golly your swell! I remember a time that even thought I disagreed with your post - I respected them. I guess that time has past.

Again - I opened the thread thinking it would be something else and then directed my point to the original poster about how I really didn't think the thread was neccessary. Do youself a favor - take a break and come back when you can post with the intelligence that you use to use.

I see - so instead of debating then you decide to rub our noses in his re-election now. I'm sorry - I didn't realize we were back on the school yard. There is a Bush supporters thread - if you feel it neccessary to congratulate yourself and your candidate then take such post there.

Ha ha ha ha…

Let’s see..for the past year or so there have been countless threads/posts about OUR President with (school yard) words like:

-stupid
-moron
-idiot
-loser
-deserter
-daddy’s boy
-drunk
-drug addict
-draft dodger
-coward
-puppet
-*******
-do nothing
-party boy
-cheer leader
-lazy
-he is done for
-he will lose
-the majority of the country is against him

-not to mention those great pictures of OUR President: picking his nose, reading an upside down book..etc

and don’t forget: he was blamed for NOT responding to 9/11 fast enough .. remember those 7 minutes… those Bush bashing threads never stopped.

But the Bush people should not have any post-election threads celebrating OUR Presidents victory. What was the quote…something like if we want to celebrate then go over and do it on the one Bush supporters thread…

Hey and talk about being back in the school yard….I loved the Kerry line in this speeches where he said this: George W. Bush…the W stands for WRONG…Wrong place, Wrong time, Wrong war. Pure genius..tell me he didn’t get that from a 4th grader in the school yard…”hey Mr. Kerry I got one for you..the “W” make it stand for wrong..cool.. idea huh”

.

Okay - now please make up the list of names Kerry has been called. Keep on lying to yourself that Kerry supporters are the only ones that called anyone names.

You have 2 or 3 post election threads going with your celebrating - my mere questions is do we really need another one? Sheesh.

I never said anything about 7 minutes - again I love how you guys lump everyone. And if you had such a dang problem with it over the last year then you should have spoke up then. It is amazing that you waited until your guy won before you decided to speak up.

So once you realized what it was, why do you continue to come back?

Because people posted back to me! DUH! I wouldn't want to leave their questions or their remarks unanswered.
