And called WDW-Dine for my PSs for Christmas week. I got right through, even though I had to pay long distance charges. They were great and really helped lots, since this was my first time making PSs.

Do you have luck with MS making PSs or did I do the right thing? I tried for 15 minutes and all I got was a busy signal...I'm thinking that it's the storms that caused this to happen.

I imagine a lot of folks are calling about the storms, and they are trying to switch VB ressies to other resorts.

Plus a lot of folks are making their 7 month window Spring Break ressies.

You're luckier than I was with the WDW-Dine. Twice I called them yesterday to modify our CP (can't do that with MS) ressies and after about a 5 minute wait each time I got the message, "Due to unforseen circumstances we are unable to take your call, please try again later." DH says that way no one has a longer than 5 minute wait, the darn thing disconnects!

I've decide to try to do something about these and other dining ressies when we're there this weekend. How about that as a reason for "justifying" another trip!

You do not have to pay long distance charges to call WDW-Dine. There are toll-free numbers you can use instead. Copied this from another section of the DIS:

Priority Seating:
A couple of toll-free numbers have recently popped up. They are to the Walt Disney Travel Company but they don't require a caller to have a reservation with WDTC to use it. For each of these numbers, once the message starts, you can get to the WDW Dining cue by pressing 5.

Here are the numbers: 1-877-939-3732 (only works in the US) and 1-800-828-0228 (unknown if this number is limited to the US).

Priority Seating

HTH in the future.

P.S. Here is the link from whcih I copied the above info:

Hey thanks, Carol! Know I know for the future!!! I spent at least 20 minutes with them yesterday!!

I always use my cell phone to call long distance, especially WDW-Dine. It's saved in my phone.

Cell phones are greta like that, aren't they.

As for Denise, it is likely that the MS folks were harder hit, as they are located in Celebration, just south of WDW. Plus, as Chuck S notes, they're busy with 7 month and VB ressies. The Disney Dining call center is in the Tampa area, and was less impacted by Frances and Jeanne, the two most recent. I'd say 407-WDW-DINE from your cell phone, or the toll free number would be your better bets.

Good luck!

Of course, using a toll free number from a land line would save even more, LOL! (Unless your cell phone plan allows you unlimited daytime minutes).

I'd only use my cell phone if I was calling for something hard to get like CRT for breakfast or V & A's Chef Table) and had a number for WDW-Dine that would bypass all the annoying voice mail options so I could get in quicker.

I called MS (toll free) yesterday for PS for 12/26 and 12/27 for CRT-dinner and Boma dinner respectively. I waited 13 minutes on hold with MS and then ps went very smoothly. I have always used MS and find it great. Last year I did have to call wdwdine because we stayed at the Swan and found it very inconvenient. I guest I'm spoiled. I don't mind a 15 minutes wait for the busiest time of the year.

hahahahahahah
Waited for 58 min to day to try and make a ps.... no luck. But the CM was wonderfull and fun to talk to and I did buy my MNSSHP tickets.
So all was not lost.

Connears,

I tried for 15 minutes to get something other than a busy signal with MS...I never even got to hold! They must be really going crazy with all of the changes that people had to make because of the storms.

By the way, are the hurricanes done for this year?

We are a magical gatherings group and used that line today and got right through. I was amazed at how easy it was having never used it before. It is a 407 number but no hold time at all and this is for New Year's week.
