I gave myself a black eye the other day!!

I'm sure you all can imagine the looks we got when I went to a Cardinals game several summers ago with my parents roughly 2 weeks after I'd fallen and broken my forearm. My mom had had rotator cuff surgery a few days before, so when people saw me in my full-arm cast and my mom in a sling walking with my dad, well....

This reminds me of a time we went shopping at the mall. I was in an ankle brace(ruptured tendon) pushing DH in a wheelchair(recovering from knee surgery) while DD then 6 in a forearm cast(buckle fracture from a skating accident) pushed DSthen-4 HIS wheelchair because he hadn't learned to walk yet. I happened to turn around and catch my oldest DS,then 13, with both arms tucked inside his shirt with the sleeves flapping walking down the mall, whistling the circus music song Doot-doot-doodle-oodle-oot-doot-do-doot...
