...just back from a week at the Swan and YES, I was in one of their fancy-pants renovated rooms Those Heavenly beds really <i>are</i> what they are all cracked up to be too!!!

Had a view of the back of BW (the bridge and the river taking you to MGM) and the top of the Epcot Geosphere so we could see Illuminations still....we even got to see a Rocket launch which went off at the same time as a show - for a moment we couldn't tell if it was a firework or not, LOL. Only downside was that I didn't have a balcony, but hey-ho

Aside from that, it was just great, so if anyone's got any questions...fire away

Tell us more....did you try to any of the restaurants at the Swan? Were you on Club Level? How did you like it? Was your room a suite? Anything you can tell me about the Swan is appreciated! Glad you had a good time. Would you stay there again?

I too would love to hear a detailed report of the Swan. My dh really wants to stay there since he gets that great teacher rate. I want to stay at the WL, but loved the look of the swan from Epcot. Give us the goods Disneymad

Sorry, I didn't eat at any of the restaurants (unless you include Tubbi's in the Dolphin or the coffee shop in the lobby, hehehe) I did spend a bit of time in Kimono's and a few people I was with had the Sushi there - I didn't hear any complaints, if that helps

Club level - I wish!!! Not a suite either Just a 'regular' room for little 'ole me and my DBF and I was perfectly happy with it, sure I would have preferred to have a balcony, but the view made up for it - I got it at the DISCON rate so really can't complain When I get home later on, I will post a picture - had to take one of those beds, hehehe!

I have stayed in the Dolphin twice before, but this was a first at the Swan. I like both hotels for different reasons and wouldn't hesitate to go back to either Besides...that location is hard to beat. The Swan is quite a bit smaller than the Dolphin, as a result it feels a lot cosier and overall there is a much quieter feel to the place as well. The Dolphin has a beautiful and awesome lobby which I just love, but it almost has that 'train station' feel because of it's size - there are always people bustling back and forth, ya know? You don't get that feeling in the Swan, even when there are people around. Hard to explain, but hopefully you'll know what I mean

I know that neither the Swan or the Dolphin are Disney run hotels, but I've always found their staff as friendly and helpful as any CM and service has always been good...this time (which was a first) I even had someone ring up from the front desk about half hour after I checked in to check everything was ok. A bit that they went to that trouble, but it was a nice touch that made me feel a bit special...even if it was only probably because they had some spare time on their hands, LOL.

I've eaten at Palio at the Swan and loved it. Great food and atmosphere with wonderful service.

The CEO was on TV one day last week. They are doing cut backs but he stated they are being done in such a way that it doesn't effect the guests. Wish Disney could do that!!!
