Filed my taxes on-line, that is.. LOL Of course now I'm going to be a nervous wreck until I actually SEE the money in my checking account..

The federal was free, but the state cost $19.95.. Still a LOT better than the $83 it would have cost me to have them done professionally..

I used H&R Block because that's who we have used for years..

Gettin' just enough back to cover the property taxes up to the lake so I can head up there in the spring and make sure the critters haven't dug up any of the "bodies"...................;)

We did our taxes on monday at H and R block and I am so glad we did. They got us 2x the amount we would of got if we did them on our own. We have enough for a week long trip to disney but my husband gets half and I get the other half and he wants to get a computer and take some computer test with his half:( But I am ok with that because the past 3 years we owed the IRS and now WE get money:Pinkbounc

Maybe you could try it on-line next year.. They make it really simple and if you're not "sure" you can claim something they have you check the box anyhow and then they determine if it's okay.. They even found an extra $20 for me!! :)

Turn around is supposed to be 1 to 2 weeks (with direct deposit) and it couldn't come at a better time for us.. With my being "terminated" from my job for being out with pnuemonia, my new health issues, the recent unexpected death of my BIL and all, the checking account was starting to look pretty sick..:faint:

I am confused by this statement. I always do my own taxes....how can H&R Bock find deductions that you can't???

Also....I filed my State taxes on line (my states' web page) for free....why would you have to use a paying site?

Never even thought to check and see if my state had that available.. Drats! I'll have to keep that in mind for next year..

I'm a REAL sloooooow learner - LOL..

Congrats on getting them done online. Wasn't it easy? You're hooked now. And with the IRS offering free filing for so many different reasons. We got our refund deposited about 10 days after we filed.
