I finally bought a pup!!!

woo woo....go Rog......go Rog.....Congratulations to you and the family on your "new addition"! My parents had a pop up on a seasonal for a few years when we kids growng up and we loved it! I am sure you and your family will have many great weekends to come. And dont worry aout it not being perfect..........ours isnt either, but we love it because its ours, and the best part is, no monthly payment!!!! Congrats again and enjoy!!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who shopped their areas of craigslist for me and for all the congratulations and well wishes!!! You people are responsible for me catching the camper bug..and Im glad you did!! :thumbsup2
Yankees? YANKEES? What are you thinking????????:confused3
Im a bigger fan of Yankee's jerseys than I am of the team itself! I really dont even follow much sports.

...you'll probably want to cover the vent openings with a smaller mesh screen. ...
GREAT suggestion...I'm definately gonna get around to doing that soon, thanks!

Rog: Congrats on the new camper! I purposely stayed out of the ongoing discussion in the thread you had going re. your search. I tend to consider myself unlucky and didn't wish any bad karma on you.

I remember our first Coleman with many fond memories. May yours be filled with the same.

Now - Campout in Rog's driveway tonight - bring the cold ones since he hasn't figured out how to run his fridge yet!
Jim....your karma couldnt have rubbbed off on me...my bad karma is WAY too heavy for yours to have moved it out of the way!! Im still on the wagon as far as "the cold ones"...but come October it will be a completely different story!

... Now you can join us for July 4th right.
Ooooooooo.......I didnt think about that.....maybe so!!! I need to go check that thread and see if I can schmooze my wayin somehow!

Congrats Rog and Gina !! And family !!
Ya'll are gonna have such a great time in the new camper ! Ain't nutt'n like bring'n your own hotel room witt ya ! :thumbsup2
It's a pretty sharp look'n camper Rog .
Frank'n D.....I MISS YOU GUYS MAN!!!!!!

...
PS - glad to see that Gina is doing fine again. Was it her knee that she had surgery on recently?
Yes....and she has come along pretty well since the operation.....the first few weeks she was limping so badly that it was making her wholebody ache whenever she would try to excercise....her limp is hardly even noticable now, though. Thanks for asking:)

Dangit Rog, I thought we had a deal??? My truck and TT for your truck, payments swapped!!! Man, now I got to make this months payments :scared:

I am really happy for ya man! Hope you have many many great memories in your new pup.:cool1:
Thanks John.....I could never even come close to affording your bills, brother!!!

... When I first bought my Coleman I thought the fridge was broken, but all I needed was some PATIENCE for it to get cold. And it DID get cold! Hopefully by now you've got a cold fridge.
You have me pegged......its fine.....It DID seem to take forever to cool off any, but its very cool now...Im not sure Id say its actually COLD yet, but it should do the job.

Congrats Rog I knew you would find one. Don't get upset when you have to fix something thats just part of owning a camper. Some times making the repairs can turn into great memories. Me and my dad a few years ago had to replace all the wood in the front half of his 1981 TT. It turned out to be fun:confused3
Michael....I agree....I dont mind doing a little work if something comes up. Im going to have to rig something up to level one of the drawers in it. It leans when there is any weight in it.

...dont worry aout it not being perfect..........ours isnt either, but we love it because its ours, and the best part is, no monthly payment!!!! Congrats again and enjoy!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE the NO PAYMENTS part!!!!

You guys rock!!! Thanks for all the encouragement and advice. Tomorrow we are giving it a good detailed cleaning and may go camping by tomorrow afternoon for its initiation into the family. Then I'll get around to the redecorating and fighting for my rights not to have it TOO feminized by the females of the house!!

Wow awesome trailer. It looks almost identical to our last popup. Great layout. You will love it. If you want any storage ideas for that layout I have a couple to share if your interested. I would offer help with your fridge but everyone else has chimed in about it already. My you and your family have many great adventures in it.

PLEASE? I would definately like your input.....let me know how to make the most of the available space!:worship:

Rog, while Gina's not looking get all them fort stickers on it. Tell her if you peel them off the paint will come with it. That way you got your stake in it lol. Was that the one you showed me in the sportsman magazine?

Don't throw your tent away just yet! Your kids are little & you and Gina might need a little bit of privacy every now and again!!;)

Congrats, Rog! You & the family will enjoy the stew out of this!!

Rick has sage advice that I forgot about from our "pup" days. When you have electricity, run the fridge on electric. When travelling, turn it to propane to keep the fridge running nice and cold. Never run it on 12V because it'll drain the battery in no time.

Rick gave the "pup" two thumbs up! Good things come to those who wait....and do lots of research!

Now, go decal it to match the golf cart!

Now that would be a site. A green and black pup. Bet it would be the only one like it. Yeah leaving the roof on is a must Rog. If Frank get's his way he'd mount a huge rodholder on the front.

This is very true! In fact, with ALL THOSE GIRLS having a tent at your site to keep clothing in and use as a changing area will considerabley cut down on the amount of chaos inside the camper. Put bins or drawers or suitcases in for everyone plus a pop-up hamper and then zip it all up.

Alright, Rog!!!!! Congratulations on the new pop-up!!! :woohoo: I'm sure you and Gina and the girls will absolutely love it!!!

Congrats Rog!!!

Actually you can run the fridge on battery IF you are on the road and you have the charge line and an isolation relay when you are hooked up to the truck.

Does the camper have a 4-way pin to the truck or a 7-pin round to the truck??

If it has a 7-pin round then you can tell if your vehicle is charging the camper battery. Disconnect the negative on your camper battery. Connect the camper to the truck, crank the truck. Turn on a camper light. If the lights turn on, then you have the charge line. Turn off the truck. If the lights turn off, then you have the isolation relay and are golden. If the lights stay on, then you only have the charge line, and have to be careful to only have the camper plugged up when you are traveling down the road, as if you park for an extended period of time with the camper plugged to the truck, then it will drain your truck battery.

But as everyone else said, the 3-Way Norcold on battery eats battery power like CANDY.

Um.....practical, Ami....but I had other uses in mind!! :rolleyes1

Congrats Rog!!! Welcome to the PUP world!!! Hope you guys enjoys yours as much as we have ours!!!

Cant wait to meet up with you at the Fort!!!

And I totally agree about the tent for storage... we did that over spring break nad it really cut down on the clutter inside the camper... we dont bother with it on shorter trips but its definitly worth it for the longer ones :thumbsup2 but make sure you leave enough room for an air bed or two... ;)

Um.....practical, Ami....but I had other uses in mind!! :rolleyes1

OOOOOHHHHHH! You meant  The tent can pull double duty then...but I guess you can forgo the hamper and just pile the dirty laundry up for extra comfort. :lmao:

Man....the ingenuity.....we always just said, "WOW, what a storm last night!" :rotfl:

:woohoo:
Congratulations, love the pix, can't wait to see pix of you guys at The Fort.
