Hi. My 5 year old daughter and I went to Disneyworld November 10-14 and we stayed at the All Star movies-dalmation building 4. My daughter went to the Neverland Club for 3 nights, so I watched the magic kingdom fireworks one night from the beach at the poly. I have fallen in love with the Polynesian. The tranquility was wonderful. Nothing against All Star Movies, the room was clean and everyone was friendly, but the Poly made me feel very peaceful. Has this ever happened to you?

Yes. :) My first visit was at an offsite suites hotel, and when we got to the TTC from the MK parking lot one day we wandered over through the Poly through the back entrance by Tahiti longhouse, and by the time we got to the GCH and volcano pool we were hooked!

This last trip we waited too long to get the AP rate at the Poly, so we tried the Yacht Club/SAB/Cape May's, etc. which was great, esp. the proximity to the Epcot, etc. shuttle right out the main YC doors.

But one morning when DS5 and I were letting DW and DD<1 sleep in, we ducked over to the Poly to eat bfast at 'Ohahas and walked on the beach. The one thing my DS5 liked the best this trip was that morning at the Poly. :)

Me too. It doesnt look much from a distance but the theming of the resort is wonderful!! We went to the Luau. The pool is great for families and the beach and landscapng are gorgeous, as is the great ceremonial house.:smooth:

For me, a visit to WDW doesn't feel right unless I at least visit the Polynesian. Of course it's better to actually stay there, but at the least I have to walk along the torch-lit paths, hang out in the lobby, go out on the beach, breath the air.

Our stay at the Poly in 12/01 was so magical. That was our first experience at WDW and we are totally hooked. We did a Magic cruise in January of this year, but ever since have been eagerly awaiting our next visit to the Poly (in 49 short days:hyper: )

The theme was just so perfect for us. So relaxing and tropical. We loved watching the fireworks from the beach. And the rooms were so spacious. . . . I think that is the best part. I have never stayed at another resort, but I hear the standard rooms at the Poly are some of the biggest.

I agree...we have yet to stay there but we seem to hang out there quite a bit...at the luau, at the lounge, at ohanas or kona cafe. I love to visit at night and walk around the beach.
Cross your fingers for some good discounts for Sept for me. Hopefully we'll be able to actually stay there this year.

mylilnikita, we were there 11/8-11/12, our 3rd visit. I am hooked on this place, it relaxes me more than anything. I enjoy getting up early and jogging around the resort. It is soooo peaceful. My wife and kids love it there. Can't wait to return (maybe 2005).

The same thing happened to me last December. I didn't think I'd enjoy staying there when I'd see the Polynesian from the monorail. But, my son and I decided to get off the monorail and I also fell in love. The pool area was very nice and so was the beach area and the hammocks with the great lagoon views. We just walked around in awe and dreamed of when we could stay there......some day!!!:hyper:
