So ihavent been losing too much lately, I am getting closer to goal and to be honest, I havent been exercising which is probably why.
But this morning, I woke up and for the first time, I actually FEEL THIN!
Its hard to describe in detail but I can FEEL it!
Doesnt mattter now that the scale hasnt moved much as long as I feel good1
Another reason not to be a scale junkie!

the scale - for me - can fluctuant wildly in either direction - up to 5lbs in the same day! However I truly try not to step on it except 1x/week - although there are days when I step on it enough in one day to last a lifetime! So I guess at times I am a scale junkie:(

I understand what you are saying - There are shirts I have that either didn't fit or were EXTREMELY tight and unwearable(along with some undies and bras) But now many of these items FIT:D Now sadly if I have these items in my closet I at one time was this smaller size but I KNOW when I used to wear them I was at least 10bs lighter than I am now - I think I have gained some muscle mass(really its there under the fat;) ) since I have been faithfully exercising minimally 5x/wk. So if I think only in terms of what the scales says I feel like I am not doing so well - but when I think in terms of how things fit, inches lost and how I feel I think I am doing very well!

I still have a long way to go but I am trying not to be a scale junkie. I want to develop a healthy me image and the numbers on the scale are only part of this.

Renee - I just love when I have days that I feel thin! Good for you. I'm considering starting a "stay off the scale" challenge to begin after the 4th of July challenge is over. It would last for one month. Maybe you could consider joining me and we scale junkies could support each other! I've been trying to think of a catchy name for the challenge and I think you've called it - "SCALE JUNKIES OF WISH - UNITE!" What do you think?

I'm thinking of joining you Lisa....it's tempting. I think it would force us to really follow our programs and exercise so that we wouldn't have a big disappointment at the end of the month!

Lisa,

Good idea. I tend to look at the scale 1 morning after being bad. If the scale does not look too bad, I think it's ok to be bad. Not a good thing. It usually catches up to me though. I am afraid though what would happen if I did not look at it for too long. I also do not think I could give up my monthly Curves weigh in though. Just couldn't do it. Good idea, though. It would be like putting our money where our mouth is as I know I have been reinforcing the inches, not pounds with others as I check my own scale daily!

I know what you mean. I feel thin, although the scale doesn't say exactly what I want it to. The scale is becoming very controlling over my life,a nd I wish that it wasn't. Good for you for feeling thin, it is a wonderful feeling.
