I feel soooo stupid.... but what is concierge?

I am sorry to have to ask this question. From reading other posts, I think I get the "jist" of what concierge level is but I would love someone to explain what exactly it is. And - how much more you can be charged for it.

Costs vary depending on resort and whether you book it ahead of time or upgrade at checkin. It has been posted as low as $25 and up to about $150 per day.
