I called Disney within the last 2 weeks to find out what a pin was that was emailed to me about a month ago. I was told it was the 20/30/40 through 6/2 or whatever that date was in June. The dates didn't help me, as we're going 11/28-12/5. I asked if there were any other pins in my household and was told no. I called again today to see if there was anything else generated, and was told there was a pin for park tickets and dining, for my dates! I was ready to do the happy dance, that was until the cm told me the pin expired on 12/24....:sick::mad::guilty::sad1:
How is it that this pin wasn't found the last time I called, and I sure could've used it?!?!

I am so sorry. That has just got to be beyond frustrating. I hate the pin system WDW uses. Some of us never get pins, others get them for dates that they can't travel and then others like you find out they had one but its expired or sold out. Kinda makes you feel like you, the loyal customer isn't being treated very nice. I would call and ask for a supervisor and tell them you did call. Do you have the name of the cm you spoke with? Maybe they can see that your name was accessed on such and such a date? Good luck and again, I am sorry this happened to you!:sad2::mad:

That's just not right. Please post again and let us know how it all turned out.

Amy&Dan thank you sooo much for telling me to call to speak to a supervisor! I did just that and come to find out, he did find my pin where the dates were only good through June. Then he found the one that the previous cm was talking about and expired on the 24th...it was only good for dates in 2009. So what he did as a courtesy was give me a one time extension on my pin that's only good through June. He gave me the exact dates I wanted, 11/28-12/5. It saved me $840.64!! All in all he didn't have to do that, especially when the expired pin wasn't even for 2010. I definitely got some pixie dust today! Now I can do that happy dance!

That's Awesome!!!! We are traveling the same dates have a magical trip!!!:thumbsup2

Well when I got my reservation confirmation, it had the dates of 11/29-12/6 instead. The first cm I talked to said 11/28 was blacked out, but then again the supervisor extended my pin for my dates. I'm just going to leave it as is, I'm not going to make a fuss over 1 day. It just means one more day my kids will have to be out of school, but we'll have to plan ahead for that and do extra work before we leave.
However on another note, I got so excited about saving all that money that I didn't even think to have the supervisor give me some other quotes. I called this morning and got a quote for the Poly and the Beach Club, and both were still cheaper than the original quote of the cabins! Gotta wait for the husband to wake up to ask him what he thinks...

I am so happy it worked out for you! In spite of a harder stance on the bottom line lately, Disney still tries very hard to work with people and make their customers happy. So often, I have read stories like yours and when people call back and speak to someone who is a supervisor, they get results!

I am sure your kids will forgive you for missing that extra day of school!:lmao:

Good luck with talking your husband into spending that savings by upgrading!

Well it would've been much easier to hear that I didn't have a pin at all than to be told I did and then all of a sudden I didn't...lol. And I did talk my husband into upgrading! I am so psyched! We are going to spend 7 nights at the Poly!! My savings on that one was almost $1100! I never ever thought I could stay at a deluxe! And to top it off, the price is also still several hundred dollars cheaper than what I originally had booked at the cabins!

Wow! Yay for pixie dust.

WOW - I am so happy for you! You are going to love the Polynesian! Here's hoping for pixie dust for everyone in the New Year!

I sure hope everyone is as lucky as I was...especially those who have never been lucky enough to even receive a pin! pixiedust:
