I feel so stupid!

I have been anxiously opening each of Mamu's posts on different plant varieties.. thinking ... gosh I do NOT recognize that plant name at all... going to learn about another new one...

only to realize it is an old favorite! I just don't know the correct names for all these plants!

Most of those names I need to look up. I usually only know the common names.

Guess I'm just as pathetic, but wait we are all learning. Isn't that what this fourm is all about. That we learn from each other.

I also have learned a lot from doing those little post and from reading other post. This is a great fourm and with the Queen Bee leading us down that path of knowledge. Think of all the wonderful gardens we are all going to have.

One of the things of beauty that I admired last year was your wonderful gardens and how you grow beautiful plants in such adverse conditions. I doubt if I could get things to grow as grand as you.

I am a hodgepodge in the world of gardening, no rhyme, no reason just like what I like, where I like it.

I think I said once before I have shelves and shelves of gardening books. Everytime I go to the store I come home with a new one. You should hear DH and I at the check-out. You don't need that book, yes I do it has a article I've never read. I always win.

Dixie, I think most of us are only familiar with the common names, that's why I love Mamu's posts, they're so informative! Now, if only I could remember everything I'm learning on this board...........

I always admire people who truly have a working knowledge/index of plants and can identify them easily.

Mamu's post above is so very true. This is a learning experience for us all. I've gained so much knowledge from this place (If only I can retain it!) But more than that, you guys have inspired me!
