I feel like I'm drowning.

I'm going to take all your suggestions and try them. I do drink a lot of diet soda so I'll definietly try cutting back on that and drinking more water. I'm also going to walk everyday to pick the kids upp for extra sunshine and exercise.

I agree with this. Also, I have noticed at times if I drink alot of Diet Drinks with Aspertame, I get into a funk and just feel really down. DH even notices and will tell me to back off the Diet Dr. Pepper. Just a thought.

Interesting you say that. I recently gave up diet soda too, and have felt better. The change is very subtle, but there has been a change. I'm convinced environmental factors and "fake food" are the cause of so many mental health issues we suffer from in this country, especially women. Our mothers and grandmothers certainly never had problems to this degree - its almost in epedemic proportions. :(

As for cutting out the diet soda...do you drink soda with caffeine? If you do, be careful about just stopping completely, or you could end up with a headache to end all headaches.

Caffeine is addictive, and when you stop it "cold turkey" you can end up with a withdrawl headache. Believe me, I've been there! Reduce how much you drink slowly. If you want to stop having the artificial sweetner quickly, switch to regular soda. Then if you want to, slowly reduce the amount of regular soda you drink until you are caffeine free, too.
 

I can relate- lately it just feels like no matter what we do right, something else comes up to deal with. :hug: If you don't have insurance right now, do you have a church you belong to? Many pastors have some counseling experience and are very good listeners. Perhaps that is something to look into? I have also been making sure I take my vitamins and extra Vitamin D to try to help, I'm not a DR but I do know that I get more crabby and less able to deal with stuff in winter. It's something to look into :)

Good point. I can't imagine any church turning away someone who needed to talk. I think the benefite too is that they have heard it all/seen it all before and what you say will not shock them one bit. Last year DH and I joined the Catholic church and I was soooooo nervous about the confession, especially after hearing all the horror stories from my Dad's side of the family. It was not bad at all. My priest was fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to talk to him again and he was wonderful, kind and understanding. Good luck OP :hug:

Do you belong on an organized religion? A priest/pastor/rabbi/imam/etc would be able to help you through this at no change. {{hugs}}
