OP- I live in Enfield, and trust me, you're not missing much by never having gone to Six Flags NE. NO COMPARISON!
our only "cheating" feeling would be universal (if we ever go) because for so long they ran very anti Disney adds. we love Disney and their adds poking fun or downgrading Disney just put a bad taste in our mouth.

Ok so please dont think im crazy!
I love Disney and go every year. I live 15 minutes from a Six Flags and had never been there. Everybody tells me Im crazy because i live so close and never put foot in it. Is just that i feel like im cheating Mickey Mouse. Im very loyal to disney and i feel that nothing is as good as the mouse.
does anyone else feels this way??

I live 20 minutes from a Six Flags and we visit several times a year. While it doesn't come close to Disney it provides us with the theme park thrills we like. As we all know Disney is a unique experience unto itself but there is nothing wrong with visiting other parks; you know where home is and that is all that matters.OMG, those were the funniest ads ever!! "If I have to hug one more princess!!!" As certified Disney fanatics, we especially should be able to see the humor in those ads.
I truly don't understand the Universal problem. US/IOA is a TERRIFIC park with great theming and attractions. It's clean, well-run, has polite helpful workers. What more do you want? I always felt those refusing to go to that "other park" because it isn't WDW to be cutting off their noses to spite their face.![]()
That is a very biased viewpoint but of course you are entitled to it. We are different and feel like we're wasting our time if we ONLY go to Disney themeparks. For us, we don't want to "waste" any time that we're in Orlando by going to another park. If we're going to be at a theme park, we'd much rather be in a Disney park.
I live about five minutes away from Sea World and thirty from a Six Flags. I don't go to Six Flags anymore but I did enjoy it quite a lot as a child. The rides are thrill rides and I used to be a roller coaster junkie. WDW doesn't have very many thrill rides so they are totally different experiences.
As for the Sea World, I have a season pass and it's no WDW but it'll do. We go every other week or so just to go swimming for a few hours.![]()
