I feel like a traitor!

I recently travelled to Las Vegas for the first time and now I'm hooked! I feel like a traitor because I've been going to Disney several times a year and will now cut back so I can go to Las Vegas. I'm even selling one of my DVC contracts to buy into HGVC at the Flamingo. I feel so ashamed!

Don't feel that bad. Remember that Vegas has been called Disney World for adults.

We go there all the time and still get to do our Disney trips. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Although, selling some of your DVC is a little drastic.....

that would mean a plane ride for me - so Las Vegas is not going to happen for a very long time - probably I will need to retire first - so I can drive out there.

So have fun!!! don't feel bad - I just came back from during WIlliamsburg, VA and we had not a horrible time - but after 5 days we were ready to come home - (I had the timeshare for 7 days) - that never happens at WDW.....

I have to admit we reached the point of maxed out on Disney this last trip.( OK maybe it has to do with the fact that we were down there 3 times this year!!) We're searching the trade outs for other locations to visit, but they all seem so boring without the parks. Oh well, Vegas huh?? may have to check that out!!

Well Vegas had purchased some of the Monorail trains from Disney for their Monorail -- they have recently expanded the monorail so I don't know if they are still there. If they are you could get a Disney fix on them.

Also, I believe there are three Cirque du Soleil shows. "O" at the Bellagio (I have heard this is the best), Mystere at Treasure Island and opening soon at New York New York - Zumanity.

Don't blame you one bit!! My girlfriend belongs to the HGVC. She invited me down there last year for a girls only vacation!! We had a blast!!! The HGVC is very comparable to the DVC. It's vacationing in STYLE!!!!!!!
Something to think about tho........ we can use our DVC points at the Polo Towers. It was posted here just last week, by Nick.

As I have told everyone who mentions Las Vegas to me:

I have absolutely NO desire to go to Las Vegas!!!

I guess I don't see the shine and glimmer that others do. All I see a huge place curtailed to adults so they will spend money and eat ALOT of quality food at CHEAP prices!

We don't care much for Vegas so no danger in us becoming traitors. When my husband has to go for business, we always say get ready to not be able to breathe. They've got it fixed where you have to walk through a casino to get anywhere and boy is there a lot of smoke.

The hotels are definitely something to see once, though. Nothing quite like Vegas, that's for sure.

I'm not saying you're wrong or not entitled to your opinion, just pointing out that you've likely heard that very opinion expressed about Disney from those who just don't get it. I know I certainly have! (For the record, DH and I happen to love Vegas but are a bit burned out on it at at the moment.)

As CaptainMidnight indicated, you should just be glad that you bought a time share that has some decent resale value. In fact, if you dump your OKW, I guess you could come out ahead on that one, even after commissions!

Yeah, I'll pass on the place where while walking down the streets at night I had to push people's arms away as they tried to pass DBF catalogues for adult entertainment right in front of me like I didn't exist!!!!!

I do think Vegas is something everyone should see ONCE in their lifetime. But once was enough for us.

Other than WDW, Las Vegas is my most favorite place to be!

As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here right now, thinking about maybe next year, skipping WDW and using a week for Vegas at the Polo Towers. That is if I can get the family to agree!!
