I went to Dl for Christmas, the only thing I missed in DW was Epcot, I found a new place I love, the weather, no humidity, the hotel, DGC and the size of everything ditance to just walk to instead of hopping on a monorail to get there, oh my God I LOVED LOVED LOVED it and I am going to hopefully to celebrate my 50th and my sons 25th birthday, can you tell how much I loved it. :cool1:

Just wait till you experience an Earthquake. Having lived out there, they're fun! *grin* Don't get me wrong, I love california, but Florida is home. Both have their benefits, and their detractions... But WDW wins hands down.

Glad you liked DL, I found it too small and claustrophobic, but it was nice to see where the dream started. I have to admit that I did like the original POTC better than the one in WDW better tho.

That's wonderful! It's great to find a piece of the world that you love. Even if it isn't wdw. :goodvibes

We love DL too! To us it feels like home because we have been there so many times. I have never been in a hurricane so I don't know which is worse a hurricane or a earthquake, at least there is a hurricane season..LOL

Having been to DL and WDW, the only thing I miss about DL was the Indiana Jones ride. The show at WDW is ok, but I love the Indidana Jones ride at DL

I'm determined to make it out to DL at least once before I die. ;) Glad you had fun! :)

DL was my first Disney experience. I spent some of my growing up years in Southern California, and DL will forever be my 'home park'. I got to take my dh and dd's there in June. For me, DL will always be more magical. Smaller, yes, but the attention to detail there in my view is unsurpassed.

My family prefers Disneyland hands down to WDW. Disneyworld is just too big to us and the TTC and all the hassles of getting to different parks just doesn't appeal to us at WDW. We love being able to go off site and eat somewhere that isn't Disney food and is usually a lot cheaper and better. We love that we can stay off site and still walk across the street to Disney.

WDW was nice for a visit but we all prefer the Land over the World. *That and we can drive to DL in 10 hours and it takes us almost 6 to fly to WDW.*

Because I used to live in CA, DL is the first place we visited. I love DL. You don't have to take shuttles everywhere. Everything is right there. You can stay off-site and still be right there. There are a lot of great things about DL. I love DW too. I think they're both great in their own ways. Now, if only DL would build a RnR!!

I wouldn't feel like a traitor if I were you...I'd just enjoy Walt's first love.
