Today is 3 days out and I did not fax my hotel with my requests. I have thrown caution to the wind and will take whatever they give me. Feels very strange not planning every detail but hey a surprise is good every now and then.

I'm with you! I hardly ever make requests since I never ever get them anyways! I did try on my recent trip though, as I asked for bunk beds at AKL and of course did not get them. So if you don't make requests, you can't be disapointed, I guess! I will never make requests ever again!

I understand they no longer consider the faxed requests anyway. They are probably overwhelmed with them!

I don't do it anymore either. I get so disappointed at check in, and it takes an hour for me to bounce back. I figured I would take my chances. Now we check in way early (leave luggage, sometimes as early as 7am), I find I get better luck that way than my mountain of faxes... have a great trip!
