I usually have raisin bran and coffee before I take a 30min walk
however when I get back in from walking I sometimes get dizzy
any idea why?

Maybe you're not breathing right, so your body is not getting enough oxygen for a brisk walk? Or, try walking a little bit slower toward the end of your walk to give your body a chance to cool down slowly. That way you don't shock your system by suddenly stopping! :D

Do you feel dizzy or light-headed? If you feel dizzy, I would talk to a Doctor-- it could be nothing, or tons of things. Is it when you sit down, or does it start while you are walking? If you feel light-headed, it could be that you are exerting yourself too much without a proper cool-down-- trying what Rhonda said could help.

I think it's more light headedness
Once I get this feeling I do grab something - one day a glass of cranberry juice, today an apple

If those are "curing" your problem--then you definitely require a little more nutrition--you could be burning right through your breakfast. Perhaps eat a little bit more prior to the walk (like a banana or whatever is friendly on your way of eating) and definitely plan on breakfast when you get back so that you can pre-empt the light headedness.
