But I know LSU. They always suprise people in the bowl games. Look at their record. Outscoring their opponents. SEC is always the best. Penn St. WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter what happens here. What matters is the playoffs....

Wait a minute....

Being a Buckeye, I wouldn't normally think about rooting for the Nittany Lions, but against LSU???!?!? Oh, HECK YEAH! I will be wearing a bit of blue and white Jan. 1st along with my scarlet and gray! Go Big Ten!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Come on. A big ten school over an SEC school? Not going to happen.

Didn't LSU beat Ohio St 38-24 Of course you would root against any SEC team. 0-9 in bowl games, right? :lmao:

January 1, 2005 Capital One Bowl:

Iowa 30, LSU 25

Iowa also beat Florida and South Carolina in recent Outback Bowls!

The Big Ten has won 7 of the last 11 Capital One Bowls over SEC opponents.

Enough said!

Points well taken dvc_john. It was good that Iowa beat S. Carolina last year or the Big 10 would have been 0-7 instead of 1-6 in bowl games last year. The SEC was 6-2. Should I also mention the Florida/Ohio State '06 BCS Championship game?

Your Serve.

(Hope everyone realizes that my posts are all in good natured fun. I actually like and respect Joe Pa.)

Not true my friend, I would root FOR any SEC team who is playing Michigan, even LSU. :teeth:

No, please don't mention it, I only just recently managed to completely erase it from my memory.

Your Serve.

Ok....

Outback bowl since Big Ten/SEC matchup:

Big Ten 8, SEC 8

Last 5 bowl seasons - all bowls with a Big Ten/SEC matchup (if I counted correctly):

Big Ten 7, SEC 7

Point being is that a Big Ten/SEC matchup doesn't necessarily mean an automatic SEC win.
