Today was my first morning to try for CRT. I had my phone and cell phone programed the night before. At 6:55 am I start hitting redial while my DH leaves for work shaking his head as I have a phone in each hand. At 6:58 I hear "Welcome to Disney Dining" and I press #1. A moment later I hear a lady say how can I help you....I rattle off CRT Dec. 28th party of four. Then I hear a click and dead silence on the other end. I don't know what happened but we were cut off. Of course by the time I get through again they are all sold out:(

I told myself today at work not to worry I had 11 more mornings to get up and stress again..I mean try again;) I get home and notice a message on my answering machine. It's Kathy from CR conceirge saying she was able to make our reservation for 8:50 am on Dec. 28th. I started dancing around my kitchen and yelling we got it. My 15 year old DD is as excited as my 7 year old DD. I immediatley called Kathy back to thank her. I have already spoke with her twice before and each time she has been polite, helpful and very friendly. I definately want to bring her a small gift to show my appreciation. Any suggetions, has anyone done this before?

Make it something nice from your hometown or state. They have to refuse gifts the first 2 times you offer but the 3rd time they are allowed to take the gift. (WDW rules I read about here before)

I hope that you get to thank her.

Congrats on CRT!

Really???

Hi wdwnut61!

Congratulations on the CRT ressies!! I believe that Photobear Sam is correct. The concierge staff have to refuse a monetary gift 3 times before they can accept it. However, I think that they can accept a gift other than money without the 3 time rule. If not, just be really persistent.

I think that PhotobearSam's idea is wonderful; something from your hometown would be a lovely gesture. For example, on the outerbanks in North Carolina, sea shell ornaments are really popular as keepsakes/souvenirs. In Ohio, the big thing seems to be Buckeye bars. Just be sure to take something that won't melt or break easily.

Have a great trip! :)

Thanks PhotobearSam and Queenofhearts,

I will definatley bring something from our area. I was also thinking of maybe a small gift basket from Bath and Body Works. Since we're going over the holidays they usually make very pretty Xmas arrangements. She has been such a angel everytime I've needed planning help and she said today she would be there so we can meet:D

I noticed you're from Delaware....if you're not too far from Philly, maybe you can get one of those Philadelphia Gift Packs. They're full of cool stuff like Goldenberg's Peanut Chews, Tastykakes, etc.

Just an idea!

kmermaid,

I hope so too:D When are you going to the Poly? Have you spoken to anyone in the conceirge?
