With all the bad things around and all negative things we hear about Disney I wanted to share 3 bits of Disney Magic that I experienced last week while visiting the House of Mouse.
1. We stayed at CBR and we recieved a towel animal in our room the first morning that mousekeeping was taking care of our room. We let the baby play with it b/c I knew that it was not for us to take home but for us to enjoy while staying at the resort. My son was dissappointed b/c he wanted to take it home. A few days later we were in the room when they came to straighten and the mousekeeper mentioned our little cat which was missing one eye and all its ribbons. So my mom told her that she knew we couldn't take it home since they would reuse those washclothes. The lady told us that no that was one for us to keep and that it was made to be taken home...oops!!
So the next morning we were at Old Port Royale where they were raffeling off Towel Tows (hey great marketing strategey). So I put tickets in for both of my boys. My oldest saw the one he wanted and was telling me. I kept telling him that he IF he won he would get the one they gave him. Well the CM standing there got our room number and my son's name and made sure we had one waiting for us that evening!! My son was thrilled (it wasn't the one he wanted but he was still excited)
2. The night of the JellyRolls meet I hopped on a sro Downtown Disney bus and asked the Driver whichs top was the Boardwalk one at DTD. He told me but then said that if that was where I was going he would take me directly there if no one got on the bus to go to DTD. Sure enough no one got on and I got a direct shot to the Boardwalk!!! I was very excited!!
3. The third big one is that last night while I was unpacking from my trip I realized I had left my camera battery charger plugged into the wall in the room. I called CBR and they put me through to the Lost and Found. I left a message about excatly what I had lost. I even called the CBR back and talked to Mousekeeping to see if they found it but they referred me to Lost and found. I asked if things were **actually** turned in if they were found in the rooms. I was met with a very insulted "of course they are". Well L&F called today and said they had it and were going to send it out to me at no cost to me!!! (Hey I'm willing to pay shipping and handling just to get the darn thing back!!)
There were of course many, many other magical moments while we were there...but these all go above and beyond by the castmembers and I think it is important that people know this!!
