Hi,

Lots of maps give the impression that these two roads run into each other, but from experience you actually have to do a left/right/left complicated thing over another 2 major roads to get from I-Drive South to I-Drive itself....unless I am missing something and have been going the wrong way...?
Does anyone know if there are any plans to join the roads up so that it's one continuous road? I thought there must be a reason it's shown as one road on the majority of maps....?
thanks

Don't know if there are plans to join them, but just to let you know that I found it a little awkward too the first time, particularly heading across to the central rerservation and finding 2 or 3 other vehicles had followed me over to the middle and where waiting there side by side to cross as well. I just floored it before anyone else could get in my way. :thumbsup2

You're right - you have to do a left/right/left (or vice versa depending on which way you're travelling) traversing a huge intersection (535 Apopka-Vineland Road/536 World Center Drive, I think). It's pretty hairy the first time you do it, but it soon becomes familiar.

Hi Lindsey

We did the left turn out of I-Drive South onto SR 535 last year during a huge 4th July thunderstorm ! And at night !

I wouldn't say I just 'went for it' but it's not something I wish to repeat. Next time I think I'll turn right and then do a U-turn further down 535. DW just about managed to keep herself together as the headlights kept on coming.

The next bit onto 536 and then I-Drive itself is straightforward though.

Thanks for the replies- it's not just me that finds it a bit scary then... Garry- it's bad enough in daylight on a sunny day I don't know how you coped with that but when faced with it you just have to do it don't you!
I wonder really if I4 is the easiest option getting from the 192 area up to the Universal area.

I should just add- the map in Simon's book (I believe it was page 77 in the 2005 edition- forever etched on my mind!) was the only reason we finally found out how to navigate this spot! It was the freebie tourist maps that we had that showed it as one long road (thanks Simon) :)
