DH May attend a trade show this Dec. at the convention center. All choices have shuttles to the show. Here's our list: These do not include breakfast and are the most expensive of the choices (however, our business will be paying):
Peabody (closest to convention center)
Westin Imagine
Vista Cay Resort
Renaissance at SeaWorld

These include bkfst:
Embassy Suites Convention Center
Hampton Inn Convention Center
Homewood Suites I-drive
Springhill Suites Convention Center
Hilton Garden Inn SeaWorld
Courtyard by Marriott I-drive
Doubletree Castle
Staybridge Suites I-drive
Embassy Suites Jamaican Ct
Holiday Inn Convention Center

I know nothing about the I-drive/Convention Center area. :confused3 Our eight year old son will be with us, also. Any experiences at these hotels or other info is appreciated!

I would check this website right for hotel disconts for the Orlando Magic Card rates: http://www.orlandoinfo.com/magicard/listings.cfm?searchCategory=accommodations

Will have car drive.

I have a few suggests: one is the Hawthorne suites on Canada Avenue. The hotel is clean and offer hot breakfast. It's not to far from the Convention Center.

The other is Fairfield Inn by Marriott is not to far from Convention Center either. Check tripadvior.com It's has good reviews on it. Offers breakfast to. I got rate of 80.00 dollars a night for the July 4th weekend.

I would recommend, in this order, the following hotels:

1. Crowne Plaza
2. SpringHill Suites
3. Courtyard by Marriott
4. Fairfield Inn by Marriott
5. Hampton Inn & Suites

You wont go wrong with any of those. The Crowne Plaza and Fairfield Inn are more by the "touristy" part of I-Drive, and the others are much closer to the convention center (I should not we're talking a distance of a mile or so, so its not that any of them are far from anything).

Hope this helps, and feel free to PM me if you need any more help!

I have attended conferences and stayed at 3 of the hotels on your list:

Both of the Embassy Suites - We liked both of them, and they have a fantastic breakfast (hot breakfast bar plus cooked to order omelets at the grill). The suites have a separate bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Staybridge Suites - I was there in February. We got the 2BR/2BA suites (very spacious), and I really liked it. It had a full kitchen and a buffet breakfast.

Another option you may be interested in is Vista Cay. These upscale condos are adjacent to the Convention Center (but could still be a pretty good walk). You can check out www.vistacayrent.com for more information on them.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. :goodvibes
