When I was touring the GV at boardwalk, I was told by the CM (Stephanie) about room occupancy. She said DVC has become aware of the problem of being under occupancy but not enough bedding due to mixed sex of children. She recommended sleeping bags on the living room floor of the GV. She than said "All DVC resorts will now provided egg crate pads to make the floor a little more tolerable for guests, as long as you are still within the occupancy limit"

I believe this is new and thought it might help some of you at there.

BTW, for those who haven't seen the Grand Villa it is just that - GRAND. I think we can save a day or 2 on our hoppers and just hang out at the resort and in the spacious room

Interesting, Thanks:D. I doubt that this change will be publically announced.

It would be nice for those situations. Our next trip will be DH, DD, Brother, and myself in a one bedroom. My DD is sleeping on the floor with my DB on the couch bed. I'll be interested to see what happens.

When we were at VB my DW didn't like the bed-too hard- and housekeeping sent an egg crate up. I'd imagine the other resorts have always had them also upon request.

InstImpres...thanks for the information. Hate to say it, but it's not just the "mixed sex" kids that fight about sleeping together!

We've used the aerobed ourselves...folds up to the same size as a sleeping bag. But it's nice to know they'll provide this item if requested.

BTW....I like the way you delicately led this thread away from the dreaded "O" fight! :)

If they enforce the occupancy and provide this type of bedding, I think that's great.
