I love my Saucony Rides so much that I don't want anything else but need new ones.Does anyone know of a place that gets older models for you. They must be around somewhere.Maybe I could contact Saucony themselves.

Went to our running store today with no luck.

Linda

Linda Have you tried the Ride2? I had the Ride and then went into the Ride 2 and frankly, I didn't notice a difference. I'm on my second pair of Ride2.

Don't know what size you are, but if you Google Saucony Ride, there are some places that have the occasional random size pair left (Overstock.com, EMS, 6pm.com, Altrec....)

Good luck and if you do end up switching to another shoe, make sure you take the time to choose the right one for ya.

Most decent stores will help find the right shoe for you and many will have a 30 day no question return policy. Ask for their recommendation since you have a shoe that works for you now.

I had the same issue with my shoes, we do not make that version anymore. I did find a new shoe that came out that I actually like better (which I never would have thought possible).

Happy running!

If you can not find them...I always do google shopping for mine..I would try to newer version...I find that generally they make them better :)! Good luck! I LOVE new shoes, but NOT new running shoes :)!

Usually the new model of a shoe will still be a good fit. I have tried on all the shoes that fit my gait at my local running store and 3 out of the last 4 years the Mizuno Wave Rider has been the shoe that worked best for me.

I would recommend checking for any clearance shoes that are left online first but, failing that, head to the local running store that carries Saucony and try their current model.

Hi buddy:flower3:

Here ya on the sneaks-my Saucony Progrids went from the 7 to the 8 when I got the last ones. Slight differences, but still really comfy.

As others said try online, even ebay, some sellers have closeout stuff they are trying to get rid of.

Good luck!

Thanks everybody! I did go online last night and did find the Ride 2.I will check those out.I have to say buying the old model last year I did like the price tag much better-they only charged me $60!

Veronica- I had the Progrid Omni 7 too before these and loved them- that is actually what I was looking for when I found these.

Thanks

Linda

hey, was a big fan of the progrid omni. Also LOVED the paramount (expensive but I got a last year's model and saved a bundle). My new shoe of choice is Mizuno Wave Elixir (I never really needed too much in the way of stability - and these are lighter - forced me to clean up my running stride).

You can def find them online and if you already know what you like and are looking for the model they certainly have the last year or so available at online retailers.

Honestly, if you find a pair you like and wear them out fast enough, buy a couple of pairs. I love a certain Asics model and buy 3-4 pairs a year when they go on clearance to the next model. Usually get about $30-$40 off per pair that way.

I completely understand wanting to stay with a shoe you like and haven't had problems with. I get concerned everytime I move to the next model year of my runnings shoe. Fortunately I've had good luck with the new model working out for me.

Linda I haven't bought shoes there (I support my local store and their race program), but I have bought other gear from them before--and gotten the WISH discount (Enter WISHD on the "team discount" page and get 15% off). Free shipping, too. It was a positive experience.

Anyone ever try running warehouse?

Linda

Yes. I love them. There is a code you can get to save 15%, except for Asics and Mizuno. This is where I get most of my running shoes. Great prices. Free shipping. Free return shipping if the shoe does not work for you.

Thanks you guys for sending me to Running Warehouse!!!!!!! I found Saucony Ride 2- basically same shoe I have- cost me $60+ with the discount- love the price. My DH found his New Balance on closeout for $40+ with the discount.

Retail mine would have been $95 and his $120-

Thank you so much

Linda
