I don't want this job!

I have another telephone interview this morning for a graduate job. I have just been doing some extra research on it to prepare, and I've just seen that the money is TERRIBLE! and it's a six day week!

I KNOW I can do better than that!

I didn't see that before as I applied through a special website for graduates which cleverly didn't add anything about wages or hours.

Doh! Now I'm not sure what to do when they call!

Hopefully I won't have to. I did do the interview but I didn't try my best so hopefully I won't have passed. I don't want to waste anyones time. The bad money I could have dealt with, but working weekends...NO!

I thought you said you made something like 6 figures as an admin assistant. Why would you get rid of a job that paid well for something terrible?

You wasted their time taking the interview in the first place. If there's no chance of you ever accepting the position, you should have just told them that.

I don't get why you even bothered with the second interview. Why not just call them and say "thank you for your time and consideration however, I'm no longer available for (or interested in) the position." Leave it at that.

Why bother going through 2 interviews and play all sorts of games when a simple no thank you would be fine?

I should have done that. These are the first job applications I've had to do so I was nervous to say what I really thought.

As for the secretarial job that is well paid, it is still something I can take if I want it, meanwhile I'm just exploring other avenues and seeing if there is a possibility of a well-paid job that I can make a career out of. Don't want to put all my eggs on one basket!
