I just found out the Happiest Celebration on Earth is scheduled to end September 30, 2006. I thought it was supposed to last 18 moths. :confused3

I really want to be there before it ends, but I don't want to go in September or any month other tan October or November. DH just asked why I don't want to go in September - crowds, heat, hurricanes and all that stuff.
They said 18mths so I believed them. WAAAAAH!

Maybe you should go in the spring, I'm not sure if thats possible with your schedule, but if I can't go in the fall thats another great time to go.
I personally love going in the winter, but If I was you I would go to the Happiest Celebration on Earth its really awesome.
And thanks I didnt know that it was over in September.

We were there for the beginning of the celebration, and I still don't know what it really is. It's not like Soarin is going to go away when the celebration "officially" ends. And I doubt they'd stop LMA after that amount of time. I don't know about Cinderellabration. Other than those 3 things, I don't know what else is different other than the advertising.

Actually, September is a great time to go especially after Labor Day. The crowds are at their lowest point. October and November are generally more crowded than September.

I've gone 2 yrs in a row in September and I love it.

why wouldn't you want to go in September?....we were at WDW in September this year and it was amazing...totally empty....fantastically empty...i would love to come again in september....

I LOVE going in Septemeber! We went right after Labor Day. Still nice and warm and we walked on most every ride. Value Season room rates. Low crowds and parks still open fairly late. I wouldn't go any other time of year. :)

We were there the last week in September. It was great, yes hot, but empty!

As you saw this fall, hurricanes can happen in October as well--even late October. My friends live in Orlando and they said this October has been very, very hot and humid.

We have gone in September many times and yes, it is hot/humid. But we have never had any crowds. It's probably one of the slowest times of year.

I just returned on Sunday, dodged Wilma only to have here follow me home.

I have heard Setpember is a great month, less crowded.

Ive been in December-very cold the week we were there. February-sometimes great weather, sometimes windy and cool. March-a lot like February. April-Great weather. May-Sometimes very hot 90's, but not as humid as the fall. October-Very hot and oppressive humidity.

I totally agree with this - I've been down 2x this year - Once in April, right before the Celebration & once in Aug. during the Celebration. I can't for the life of me tell you the difference except for some banners & merchandising. The Castle Decorations, sure (Boy, I really hope they take that awful mirror thing down & it doesn't become another hand or hat) The new attractions will be staying permenantly. I suspect even Cinderellabration will be staying as well with all the work they put into the stagiing area. You really aren't missing much if you miss it IMHO.

But, if you have you're Heart set on going before it ends, Sept. is a fine time to go. Hot, yes, but the crowds are very low & you can get good rates. Oct can still be hot & Hurricane season lasts right up til Nov. anyways. Like someone else posted above, maybe you could go in the Spring? Spring is beautiful too, as long as you can avoid Easter weeks & Spring Breaks.

We always go in September because of the low crowds. This year, decided to go in Oct. to avoid hurricanes (and also go to F&W Festival). We went 10/16-10/23. Won't go in October again - very crowded. We left with Hurricane Wilma on our heels. And the weather wasn't much different than mid-September.
It's back to September for us.

My DW and I were marries on Sept 1st. and we arrived at Disney on the 3rd to find the lowest crowds I have ever seen! I'd love to be there again in Sept.

I agree with everyone. We went the middle of October , 3 years ago and just returned from WDW, one month ago. We actually had more rain, when we went in October, plus it was more crowded in october.

Us too, Sept is the best time to go. Schools are back less crowds, and hurricane season is till the end of Nov. If you don't want to go because of hurricane's you should go in the spring.

September is great! And if hurricanes are the worry for you, WDW is one of the safest places to be during one.....Oct and Nov get hurricanes as well and no one can truly predict them.....just go and have fun and do a bit of research if you're unsure....

It is 18 months. It started last May, and is scheduled to run through next September. But I agree with the other posters, it's not like they are going to remove the attractions that they have put in, are they? :confused3

I doubt it and rest assured a new theme celebration will be happening after September.

I've generally gone in September, but this year we went Oct 15-22. We hated it! Just as hot as September (80s-90s every day), and boy were the parks packed with people! We so missed our usual 0-10 minute wait time for everything that we generally find in September. It's definitely back to September for us. We'll shoot for the end of Sept., because MNSSHP was fantastic, but the Food and Wine festival wasn't worth the crowds for us. Give me the love bugs over packed parks and restaurants any day! :earboy2:

Just remember that September is still summer in Florida; it'll be in the 90's and humid. Pack your sunscreen!
