In today's Orlando Sentinel under the Ticked Off! section is a blurb:

While waiting in line in a store's restroom in Casselberry, I saw a mother enter the restroom because her 3 YO daughter had to go. She sat her kid on the sink so she could do her business. Could there by any more indecency in this world? People have to use that sink lady!
____________
Okay....just what did that "mother" teach her daughter??? And I have to wonder - did they wash their hands? or even wash the sink out?

Did anyone say anything to her?? That has got to be THE MOST IGNORANT thing I have EVER heard of!

I don't know if anything was said or not. If I had been there something certainly would have been said!

YUCK! I hate publice bathrooms!!! Absolutely hate them! I try to avoid them at all cost!! Ewwww!

We were at Sesame Place in PA about 5 years ago. I little girl told her mom she had to "tinkle". The mom told her to go stand on the pool steps and go, and she did. We left then.

but I feel that if there was a long, long line and the child is one of those "wait until the last second" types and would pee her pants if she didn't get to go NOW, then the mother may have seen the sink as her only choice. Better to have her go there than to squat in the bushes, or wet herself and have to walk around with wet pants all day. And hopefully she did wash the sink after.....but I'm not a person who is bothered by public restrooms much...you pick up germs from other people everywhere...touching the chairs/booths in restaurants, picking up the same salt/pepper shakers, touching doorknobs, picking up items in stores other people have picked up, the list goes on and on...I just wash my hands a LOT!!! :D

I used to know a girl who used the sink when her youth group went on trips and there were long lines in the restroom. She was in high school. (She was the type who thought the world was created for her benefit.) I didn't mind the germs so much, since I'd never touch a sink basin in a public bathroom anyway, but it was akward looking somewhere else while she sat on the counter with her pants around her ankles.

Unfortunately, it's true. I could tell you all kinds of things about this girl that are equally unbelievable. Her dad was very well-respected in a small town, and everyone just let her do whatever she wanted.

If you think that's gross, stop by the gents lavatory at a concert or game at a big stadium some time.

First off, that's disgusting! I don't care how long you have to wait or if the child waited until the last minute-you just don't pee in the sink!!!! OMG!!!!
My biggest pet peeve about public bathrooms is the ladies who don't FLUSH!!!!! What is up with that?!?!?!?! Do they not flush at home!??! Or were they born in a barn!?!?!?

Donald's Daisy, I love that column! I wish they had that in my paper!! I'd have a field day! ;)

Why do you think they put floor drains in men's rooms? :earseek:

ANSWER: Because men are pigs.
