We were removing wallpaper today. By accident, my husband grabbed the bottle of Febreeze instead of the fabric softner/water solution that we had mixed up (from a tip I read here). It was amazing! It worked almost instantly, and WAY better than the mixture we intended to use (or the spray gel wallpaper remover we bought!)

The other good news is that the room smells really fresh, too!

Good to know. I have a border to take down. I'm hoping to cause as little damage as possible because I don't want to repaint until I figure out what we are doing with the room. NO damage to the paint would be even better. :thumbsup2

WoW too bad I didn't know this Months ago when I was de-wallpapering my Bathroom..

Thanks fo the tip....I have a border that will eventually come down!!!

Just remember, for those of you who have wallpaper to remove, pull the top layer off first (the patterned part), and then spray the Febreeze on the paper backing. The first layer easily pulls off from the backing, but the paper backing is the part with the glue. We bought a fancy scraper from Home Depot and between the Febreeze and the scraper, the job was relatively painless.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are also great for getting the glue residue off.

Is there anything those erasers can't do?? :thumbsup2

Yep. They have worked great for me on most things. The only stain I can't seem to get out is left over from a eucalyptus wreath that we had hanging up :headache:
