I don't know why I did this...or maybe I do

this morning I got an e mail that the company I used to work for (until I left in 1998) is in bankruptcy and is being liquidated. guess that must have triggered some nostalgia in me, because first I called a few of my friends from that company.

and then at lunch I walked ...

I just couldn't walk past the company's headquarters, a block and a half from myt current office.


I walked over to Ground Zero.


that's actually a bit of a hike from my current office.


but the WTC was my hangout form most of the years I've worked in Lower Manhattan.

I don't know what I was trying to recapture. I guess I'm feeling overwhelmed by the changes I've been through.

I understand. theres a lot of symbolism there. A lot of goodbyes.

Not that this is anything close to that but they tore down an arena that I used to work at, I have some amazing ( good and bad) memories from that place. When dh and were back a few weeks ago we drove by and it was just so depressing to see this brand new ( toilet seat looking building ) area there in place of the old barn. If I were alone I would have felt that I could go and say goodbye and maybe bury some of those memories... oh well maybe another time.

I can understand. I would have probably done the same thing. Obviously, all those things have been a very important part of your life and mean a great deal to you.
