I don't know which Buffalo hotel to book!

First of all, Happy Mother's Day!

Secondly, I need help. DH has decided that he wants to stay in Buffalo before our 7am flight out of Buffalo. We're a little less than 2 1/2 hours away (Kitchener). We timed it when we went to Darien Lake last weekend. (which, by the way, was excellent!)

I've searched this forum for info on Buffalo hotels and have read through the threads but still do not know where to go. I was all set to call Comfort Suites on Dick Rd. and then read a bad review. Has anyone had a bad experience here? Any worries about your vehicle? Any recent pricing? Any preferred hotels?

I'd appreciate the help!
Thanks, Lori

Hi there, we have stayed at Quality Inn across the road from the airport just behind McDonald and it was fine (and inexpensive-$89 including parking) but this year we chose the Holiday Inn Express and I am glad we did. It is new, spotless and has the most comfortable beds! The price was in the 130 range but it too included parking is just across from the hotel, had the shuttle, continental breakfast which they will bag for you if you are leaving before 6am, a clean warm pool and hot tub,and a fun little games room. For me the cleanliness and newness was well worth the extra $$$. Most of the hotels are fine along there because you are really only laying your heads down. Just be sure that if you want to park at the hotel, the rate you are quoted includes the parking, some the lower rate doesn't. As far as safety goes, we have never once had a problem and we have been flying out of Buffalo for 3 years now. I make sure not to leave anything in the car, no CD's, no pocket change in the console, not toys in the back seats-nothing at all to entice someone cause you never know what can motivate another person. Have a great time!

I happened to see your post when I was scanning through the main board. I'd like to suggest that you try the Holiday Inn Express. It's reasonable (probably around $120 without coupons or discounts, don't forget to ask about those!), clean and overall very nice. It's very new and I in close proximity to the airport. I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful trip.

We stayed at the Confort Suites - Dick Rd. twice and were very happy with it. Both times we paid $89. This year we were quoted $99 but don't have an issue with the price increase.

The room is very large, two double beds plus pull out sofa. There is also a small fridge and microwave. My only concern with the room is that it is a little dark. It is obvious that the rooms aren't brand new but are nice and clean.

The pool and hot tub area is fine, basic but nice and clean.

The shuttle service is great.

The breakfast starts VERY early in the morning and includes hot and cold foods.

Overall, we really enjoy our stays at this resort.

Our choice is the Millenium.
Clean, spacious and only a short shuttle ride to the Airport.
To check out others available (park/sleep/fly packages).
